The Olympic medalist recently took to social media and revealed a wish she had for a long time. While acknowledging that the controversial musician was canceled due to his past, she still wanted to walk out to one of his hit anthems- World’s Greatest. According to her, this would be the perfect song to encapsulate her while she makes a walk down the ring.

“Man… I know Y’all done cancelled Rkelly but man its still one of my dreams to walk out to Worlds Greatest. I grew up on that song and every time I felt low I put it on to remind myself… “I’m That star up the sky, I’m that mountain peak up high! Say I made it, I’m the World’s Greatest” she wrote.

Nollywood actress, Cindy Amadi, is dead
A Nigerian actress, Cindy Amadi, who is known for her role in the lesbian-themed movie titled, “Ife”, is dead.

This was confirmed by the producers of the movie, “Ife”, in a statement on their Instagram page on Thursday.

The statement read, “We are greatly, deeply, and unbelievably saddened to learn about the passing of Cindy Amadi, who played Adaora in .

“We cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss her family feel right now. On behalf of our entire cast and crew, we send our deepest condolences to her family and wish them all the comfort they need at this time.

“Rest in Peace, Cindy. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. We will always remember you and you live on in our hearts forever.”

A filmmaker and producer of “Ife”, Pamela Adie, also confirmed the actress’ death on her Facebook story saying, “This wasn’t the plan, Cindy. I promised you we’d make the sequel and you were excited. I’m sorry we couldn’t complete it in time. But we will complete it…for you. Rest in peace for now.”

The cause of Amadi’s death is not yet known as at the time of filing this report.

Afrobeats singer Mohbad has died aged 27.

In a statement shared on the singer's Instagram page, it was confirmed that Mohbad - real name Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba - died on Tuesday 12 September.

The message noted that the artist was 'finally at peace', with the family asking for privacy during this difficult time.

The statement read: 'It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Promise Oladimeji Aloba PK/A Mohbad (Imole) today, the 12th of September, 2023.

'Mohbad was light until the very end, and as we mourn the loss of the brightness he carried, the family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Imole is finally at peace.'

Nollywood veteran actress, Cynthia Okereke, is dead.

The actress, who had had featured in scores of movies, was said to have died Tuesday night. Her demise is coming a year after enduring a traumatic kidnapping experience.

The sad news was disclosed by her fellow colleague in the entertainment industry, Joseph Okechukwu.

Okechukwu, a filmmaker, expressed deep sorrow, revealing that he had intended to pay for Cynthia Okereke’s flight ticket to America to continue their joint project.

However, fate intervened, and she passed away on Tuesday night.

20 things to know about Hilda Baci and her Guinness World Record Marathon Cooking

1. Her real name is Hilda Bassey Effiong. She is a young Nigerian chef from Akwa Ibom State. She owns a food brand in Lagos called "My Food by Hilda"

2. She will be cooking for 4 days non-stop.

3. She must stand to cook, she is not permitted to sit while cooking.

4. She’s not allowed to take coffee, stimulants, or any energy drink to artificially boost her energy and bodily strength while cooking.

5. She's allowed to eat food, drink water or fruit juice, and take glucose.

6. The cooking is taking place at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

7. She cooks round the clock, no sleep (Morning, afternoon, evening, and night. So, for 4 nights, she won't sleep)

8. She has just 5 minutes rest per hour [meaning for every 1 hour, she is entitled to just 5 minutes rest or break, that's an hour break in every 12 hours].

She gets a 30-minute break every 6 hours, she spends the 30mins in a medical van which is just close by, within which she can nap, use the restroom, and also get a medical assessment or checkup by the medical team available on the spot.

It was reported that a United Kingdom court on Friday sentenced Ekweremadu to a total of nine years and eight months imprisonment, while his wife, Beatrice, was sentenced to four years and six months imprisonment for plotting to harvest a man’s kidney.
The third accomplice, a medical doctor, Dr Obinna Obeta, was jailed 10 years. Ekweremadu, 60, and his wife Beatrice, 56, wanted a new kidney for their 25-year-old daughter Sonia.
In an interview with BBC after the court judgement on Friday, Sonia said she felt guilty about the whole situation.

“I don’t think it will ever be the same again. And obviously, I feel guilty because I feel like all these have happened because of me,” she said, while holding back tears.
On how her parents have handled their current reality, the 25-year-old who admitted that she can’t speak about what they truly feel, said they are “quite calm”.

His name is Ralph Yarl a 16 yr old African American who went to the wrong address to pick up his siblings.

He was shot in the head by a white man who didn’t want him on his property. He shot him a 2nd time on his shoulder.

Thankfully Ralph is out of the hospital but with severe injury.

16 year old African American Ralph Yarl was shot by a white man.

Yarl, 16, had been trying to pick up his 11-year-old twin brothers from a friend’s home but had gone to the wrong street and house. His family’s attorneys, Lee Merritt and Ben Crump, said he was shot twice after he rang the doorbell.

Merritt said the shot to Yarl's head left him with a critical, traumatic brain injury. He was also shot in the upper arm, the attorneys said.

Faith Spoonmore, his aunt, said on a fundraising page that Yarl had gone to at least three homes before he received help.

A warrant was issued for Andrew Lester, an 85-year-old white man, on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action, Clay County Prosecuting Attorney Zachary Thompson said Monday.

Peter Obi detained and interrogated at UK airport over crimes allegedly committed by impostor.

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LPPCC), has disclosed that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was detained and interrogated for hours by immigration officials at Heathrow Airport, London, over offences allegedly committed by an impostor.

LPPCC stated Obi’s impostor, who is still at large, may commit various crimes that would lead to the arrest of Peter Obi in the United Kingdom.

This is according to a statement signed by Head of Media of the Obi-Datti, Diran Onifade.
In the statement, Onifade noted that Obi was arrested at the Heathrow Airport for duplication.

Onifade said Obi arrived the Heathrow Airport in London from Nigeria on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, and joined the queue for the necessary airport protocols when he was accosted by an immigration official who handed him a detention note and told him to step aside.

The statement reads in part: “The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi just back from London, United Kingdom where he celebrated Easter, has confirmed that he was harassed by London immigration officials and placed for detention but for the spontaneous reaction of Nigerians at Heathrow Airport.

“Obi-Datti Media office can confirm that the LP Presidential candidate in the February 25 Presidential poll arrived the Heathrow Airport in London from Nigeria on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, and joined the queue for the necessary Airport protocols when he was accosted by immigration official who handed him a detention note and told him to step aside. He was questioned for a long time and it was very strange for a man who lived for over a decade in that country.

“Since Obi’s face was already an international frame, especially for Nigerians, Africans home, and in Diaspora who are likely to be Obidients, the people quickly raised their voices wondering why he was being delayed.

The immigration officials who were also taken aback at the reaction of the people were forced to reveal that Obi was being questioned for a duplication offense, meaning that someone has been has been impersonating him in London...

BREAKING: Imo Labour Party Governorship Aspirant Anumudu Found Dead

A Labour Party aspirant in the upcoming Governorship primaries in Imo State, Chief Humphrey Anumudu has been found dead in his house.

The aspirant died in his house in Lagos after he had returned from an LP meeting at the party national headquarters in Abuja on Friday.
