The best way to explain the art and content available in EE, is to first reimagine electronic technology as an optical 3D dream sequence, in a kind of spatial perpetuity referred to as abstract futurism [and arguably an aesthetic more akin to science fiction than electronic music – as conceptualised in ‘The Manifesto of Futurist Architecture’ circa 1914]. We also asked each artist to answer 3 quick-fire questions.

The best way to explain the concept behind these cosmic 3D posters, as a collaboration with electronic artist , is to reimagine technology as an optical representation of itself. After working that out, it was then possible to generate a three-dimensional dream sequence, as a graphic manipulation, extracted from photographs of her beloved Roland Juno 60 synthesizer, sent to me by Hannah, then transformed into a kind of spatial perpetuity, often referred to as abstract futurism; arguably a style more akin to outer space and science than music itself, also conceptualised in ‘The Manifesto of Futurist Architecture’, Antonio Sant’Elia, circa 1914. But isn’t that the whole point of electronica as a synthetic mechanism, that this form of experimentation belongs to the abstract minded, designed to thrust the listener on a vast journey across the universe?

I first went to see at the Sheffield in the 80’s. They blew my f’ing mind combining electronica with home-made industrial instruments. When I contacted Graham Cunnington earlier this year to collaborate with us on , he sent me pictures of these incredible new abstract creations designed to trigger samples, built by Lottie Poulet, once again completely unique, and I can’t wait to see the band live again. 3D edits .
