The Premier League 24/25 season is here and the lads are buzzing.
After another final for England in the summer, the hangover is over, a new dawn is here as Lee Carsley is the new interim England manager and league football has returned to bless our weekends.

FANTASY FOOTBALL RETURNS ⚽️

Goodbye Southgate.

The moment we all knew was coming. Southgate has stepped down as England manager. After leading us to back to back Euro Championship finals and a semi final of a World Cup.

He rejuvenated the England squad and made us favourites for a tournament after years and years of disappointment.
Yes the football wasn’t always exhilarating, but he’s given us some of the best memories as English football fans.

It’s a shame he couldn’t seal off his final competition with a win, but the groundwork has been laid and hopefully his successor can go one step further. Whoever that may be.

CAN THESE BOYS BRING IT HOME? ⚽️🏆

Today is the day. 3 years ago, we almost made history by winning our first ever Euros, however we were defeated on the penalties. The nation felt deflated folllowing defeat.
Now, the lads have a chance at redemption, as they are in back to back Euro Finals and they could bring the trophy back to England.

Can history be made today? Can Southgate lead the nation to victory?
The women have done it in recent memory, can the men follow in their foot steps?

T-Minus 2 days until England play in another Euros final. This time, the opponent is Spain, arguably the most exciting and best team of the tournament so far who brushed off France to reach the final themselves.

In this episode, we dissect England’s quarter final and semi final games and look ahead to this weekend.

Tonight, England face the Netherlands in the second semi-final of the tournament. Spain await the victor in the final as they pipped France last night and now we wait to see who will be their opponent.

Whilst England fans have been very vocal about the performance of team, regardless they have made their 3rd semi-final in 4 tournaments. It is a huge night tonight and one, every fan across the country will be hoping goes our way.

QUARTER FINALS DAY ⚽️⚽️

Less than inspiring performances from England so far but with rumours of a major formation shake up following injuries and suspension means this game could be a real game changer.

Also, a 95th minute overhead kick will surely lift the spirits of the whole team. Knowing they can grind out a result and overcome opposition, even when it looks like it’s all over.

WE GO AGAIN.

England face off against Slovenia this evening and whilst they have already qualified for the round of 16 following Albania’s defeat last night. This game is still huge for the rest of the tournament.
Fail to come 1st in the group will mean we face Germany and also, we want to start seeing some free flowing attacking football.

Can England prove they’ll be able to cut it with the big dogs this year? We find out tonight. ⚽️🎙️

Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s Matchday 😀⚽️

England second group game takes place today after a narrow victory over Serbia on Sunday.
This tournament has seen plenty of incredible goals so far and all England fans will be hoping to see plenty more today against the Danes.

Last time we faced them at a tournament was the Semi Final in 2021 where we beat them 2-1 after turning it around from 1-0 down.

EURO 2024 IS HERE 🏆

Strap in, as we prepare for the summer of our lives. The Champions League winners were Real Madrid, which marks the true end of the domestic season in Europe.

Now, we move on to the heavily anticipated Euro 2024 Finals in Germany.
England are favourites for the tournament, but with injuries to their defensive line, can they overcome this and progress deep into the tournament? Will Italy retain the trophy? Will France be back for revenge? Will Germany dazzle in Kroos’ last months as a player in their home country? Who will be the surprise package?

All these questions will be answered over the next month and we cannot wait.

FA CUP WIN FOR TEN HAG 🫡

The curtains have closed to the season, the FA Cup final has now been and gone and despite finishing 8th in the League, United have secured Europa League football by beating local rivals Man City in the FA Cup final.
A shock none of us were anticipating, and after that, we still doubt Ten Hag will be at the helm after the summer.

In this episode, we also discuss the play-off final, Bayer Leverkusen’s incredible double and we look ahead to the Euro’s and the Champions League Final.

FINAL DAY REVIEW ⚽️

Record breaking Manchester City have won their 4th title in a row and their 6th in 7 seasons. Absolutely incredible scenes across the weekend as it came down to the final day and Phil Foden ended it within 77 seconds pretty much.
Arsenal did their bit and beat Everton, no matter how nervy it was but Pep’s City beat West Ham to clinch the title in fantastic fashion.

Elsewhere, Luton were relegated after a 4-2 loss to Fulham and Chelsea secured European football after a 2-1 win at the Bridge against Brentford. Newcastle finished their season with a 4-2 win against Brentford and now rely on City winning the FA Cup this weekend to secure European football for another season.

We will still be recording as the Euro’s approaches and we have our favourite game of the season coming up this weekend. The Championship play off final between Leeds and Southampton, let’s ‘av it.

The Premier League season has all come down to this. 37 games have gone and the title is still up for grabs. Two teams are relegated already, Luton are pretty much relegated, the champions league spots are decided and 2 teams are still fighting for European football.
Funnily enough, those two teams are Newcastle and Chelsea. The teams that our lads support so big final day this weekend.

Kane haunts the Emirates once again 🫡

Pure barn burning Barclays football. What a week of football we have just witnessed.

Plenty of goals scored everywhere, draws galore, points deduction and a last minute winner for Luton. This season just constantly delivers more and more drama and we are here for it.
Alongside this, we have knockout football in the Champions League and Europa League with a mixed bag of results for the English sides but entertaining nevertheless.

2nd episode of the week and boy, you’re in for a treat.

Classic Barclays midweek games returned with plenty of goals, controversy and entertainment. Chelsea stunned Manchester United in the 99th and 101th minute to seal 3 points, Everton snatched a point at St James’ and Foden tore apart Aston Villa.

We’ve seen one of the worst gameweeks of FPL history in Louis’ team and Ryan is now riding high in the Super 6 predictions.

Finally, we look ahead to this weekend, which promises to deliver more thrilling fixtures including Man U v Liverpool.

FA Cup quarter finals and a handful of premier league games? What’s not to love.

Absolute goal fest this week in the FA Cup, with Man United v Liverpool and Chelsea v Leicester providing the most and underdogs Coventry are in to the hat for the Semi’s.

We also talk about Fulham’s romping of Spurs, Burnley’s shock win and Forest’s point deduction. As well as some England chat as the last squad has been chosen before some intense friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

Some new faces in the camp, including fresh faced Mainoo, who will be looking to impress. Will he be considered for the Euro’s finals? We’ll have to see!

We couldn’t contain the excitement and had to release the episode as quickly as possible. A thigh rubber of a game at Anfield, a huge comeback at the Vitality and domination by Spurs at Villa park, there was so much to wax lyrical about in this episode which is what makes football, the elite sport in the world.

Ryan’s blue billion pound bottle jobs succumbed to Klopp’s kiddies as they lost the league cup in extra time. We also had premier league action in which a rampart Arsenal dispatched Newcastl, Bowen batters Brentford and Palace pummeled Burnley in Glasner’s first match in charge.

Action at both end of the tables this week, with a relegation scrap that keeps delivering drama and a title race that just continues to heat up as we approach the business end of the season. Two huge relegation rivals both lose 5-0 and Luton couldn’t get a result against United who’s man in form has found his miracle goal.

With a double gameweek for Liverpool and City, we talk about the FPL goings on in the podcast league and whether the Triple Captain of Haaland paid off, as well as Champions League chat and the time Louis met Joe Hart at Alton Towers.

What a treat we received over the past week in the world of football.
A record breaking 45 goals scored in a single Premier League weekend across the 10 fixtures and it seriously felt like a throwback to the Barclays days.

This week had everything, goals, red cards, mistakes, own goals and pure sh*thousery. We have loved every second of it and have waxed lyrical about it for 31 minutes.
