In returning from being away to the terrible news that Danielle Moore, from Crazy P has passed away is devastating. I was lucky enough to play with her and the guys on many occasions and she was an absolute pleasure to be around.

They came and played on the radio and came and stayed in my home and that is a huge honour and privilege and a day I will never forget.

Beautiful in and out, we have lost an incredible artist, rest in peace in the disco in the sky

For everyone who’s got the post-festival blues, Brixton Radio took over the We Out Here stage! This year and .fm had community radio stations take over the main stage and streamed the shows globally on Worldwide FM. We at Brixton Radio were honoured to be asked so Sunday at 7am two of our residents showed the world what Brixton Radio stands for. First we have Éilís, an eclectic selector taking you through the morning with her vinyl collection. Then we have The Commonality, a 4 piece collective who recorded some of their own productions live from our studio!

Thank you once again to and .fm for this opportunity. If you missed it, we’ll be showing the show and a bonus mix from our wonderful owner and chief tomorrow at 10:00 - 12:00. See you there!

We will be broadcasting Radio Rahim’s podcast series with Luminary every Wednesday, 12-2pm!

The first episode will be airing tomorrow, 12pm-2pm. The first episode is featuring none other than QuestLove. QuestLove needs no introduction, we’re honoured to have him on Brixton Radio.

Announcing our mystery DJ.. Kirollus: Leading at the forefront of a new wave of disco and boogie, the London based selector is known for his electric stage presence and enviable record collection

Our second Dj we’d like to mention is Anthony Teasdale: Anthony Teasdale has been creating deep house, electro and chill-out since 1993.  Crafting a sound somewhere between Mr Fingers and Aphex Twin.

Thirdly we have Frank Tope
: 1/3 of balearic beat remix purveyors Wild Geese, gentleman amateur DJ, disco librarian, A&R idiot savant

Our fourth Dj is Jamie Cruisey: Jamie was brought up on all things Motown. From the age of 17 to 21 he started making quite a name for himself as a DJ in the London house and techno club scene.

Fifth on the line-up Daren Nunes: Daren Nunes is one of the co founders of Dogmatik Records with Spencer Nunes & Alex Arnott. He has an extensive back catalogue of music featuring collaborations with Alex Arnout. Hosting numerous Dogmatik parties in ibiza, Barcelona and London, Daren is a true house head.

Sixth is Scott Braithewaite : Dj, vinyl collector and occasional club promoter. Likes electro, boogie, jazz funk, disco, house, techno,/electronica and everything in between.

7th we have Seamus Haji : Seamus, a sensitive Capricorn of Irish-Indian descent (that explains the name then!) began his DJing career at the tender age of 16 with a South London Soundsystem playing a mixture of early House, Soul and Hip Hop.

8th on our lineup are Highlander b2b Disdained: Highlander is a South London dj and recked records owner, highlander, is known for his heavyweight jungle seleccctions.Disdained is a man of many talents, with releases on racked, mined and many more under his sun pal alias.

9th we have Matt Priory : Matt Priory is the resident DJ for Dash The Henge Records. As well as curating our events he also produces and remixes for the label working across our roster with recent projects including SCUDFM, Brian Destiny and White Devil Disco.

Lastly we have our very own Mr Ben: the Owner and face of Brixton Radio.
