VEGA Glasgow is also shortlisted for the DARC Awards in the category Places - HIGH Budget!

We were invited by Artin Light to create content for two of the installations in the hotel. Reflections Portal (also shortlisted in Art – Low Budget Category) and in Digital Matter, a lift ride like no other.

For this project, we teamed up with our long time collaborators, Klang , to create content for an audiovisual experience within the lift itself.
The lift interior absorbs the users into its black void. Once the lift doors close, the digital journey begins, using bespoke digital animated artwork and music, which plays on three key concepts, Light Portals, Exposed Architecture, and Retro Sci-fi. Each of these three concepts creates a unique and immersive journey, which plays on the twists of the reality of depth and movement within the lift, leading you to the destination of planet VEGA.

Reflection Portal, an installation at YOTEL Glasgow, has been shortlisted for the DARC Awards in the Art – Low Budget Category!

For this project, Artin Light invited us to help shape the narrative of this magic mirror. We teamed up with our long-time collaborators, the Barcelona based studio , to create a set of animations that plays with illusion and perspective in the lift lobby.

The content played on the idea of perspective, space and geometry, mimicking the interior reflection in digital 3D form. The spectator is immersed in cyber pop visuals to compliment the corridor design, using vivid colours and bold geometries to play with the concentric illuminated archways.
