I posted this as part of my story the other day, but have been enjoying the challenge and practice so much that I want to leave it up as an ongoing this ☺️

It is doing me a world of good with practice and inspiration and stopping me from getting stuck in the same old spiral with my art and procrastination.

Continuing on the theme of "practice by recreation", today I did my first ever from the talented ! I currently have a limited amount of 'realistic' skin colours so I couldn't quite get the tones I was after, and the overall colour work could be much better, but I think she turned out quite cute! Briar is such a cutie pie anyway 💖

One block I often find myself having, is the inspiration of WHAT to draw. So, I solved that problem! I'm also trying to push myself to complete pieces in minimal time vs spending weeks then abandoning it in the WIP pile... This took around 3 hours in total, so not too bad!

I'm going to collect stickers from other artists whose work I adore, and re-imagine it! Today's piece was inspired by this adorable sticker from . Her pop-up in was adorable, and I couldn't resist getting this sticker! This summer is ready for some fun in the sun!

Embracing Imperfection- last night I had a vision of a piece I wanted to create. There are a lot of things wrong with this page, and I certainly could have made better use of the colours, but overall it could be much worse! It's not a spitting image, but I don't think I'm too far off either!

Mika has always been one of my favourite artists. His smile is infectious and his music is soul lifting. I'll likely re-attempt this vision once I've had more practice, but for now I'm happy to have a complete piece of this golden retriever of a human.
