We’re excited to announce the first edition of ’s new monthly show Plattenschatz Im Schattenplatz (“Record Treasures In The Shade”), which arrives on the SVARA airwaves this coming Wednesday at 6PM.

Plattenschatz Im Schattenplatz showcases the music and work of local women, and gender expansive musicians in Liverpool. Each monthly show interviews a new local artist or creative in the field of gender equality in music.

This week, is joined by , a cornerstone of Liverpool’s creative scene, dedicated to promoting women in music and improving accessibility in the arts.

In a short space a time we’ve already played host to some of Liverpool’s most promising underground artists alongside some renowned brands such as and more.

We’d again like thank everyone who’s been apart of the journey so far.

Year 3

We moved into the Baltic, which took us to another level. We finally had our own space, which we designed ourselves and are really proud of what it become. Again we met an incredible amount of new faces, from DJs to independent business owners and really began to implement ourselves into the community around us. Naturally we outgrew the space that we had, but didn’t venture far away as we moved just over the road to our new space, which we know will be our home for the foreseeable future.

Thank you everyone for the support over the last 3 years, we couldn’t have done it without you all. This next year is going to be the best one yet, and we can’t wait to share what we have in store for it.

Year 2

We had our first move as we built our new studio in Lost Lounge. We threw some parties, created numerous new relationships and integrated ourself into our community with series such as Spindipendent.

In celebration of our 3rd birthday coming up this weekend, we wanted to share some moments from each of the last 3 years.

Starting with year 1 at the Albert Dock where SVARA began with a laptop, some decks and a microphone (and a cardboard box for a stand). We’ve come a long way.
