This course is great - every hole is themed with something to do with Nottingham. It's also not quite as easy as it looks at first glance.
We are at Pirate's Landing, a 12 hole (wish it was the full 18) course at Trent Lock, west of Nottingham. This is a very good course and felt different to most of the other pirate themed courses we have visited. That wooden shack... what about it?
We've been threatening to do this for a while, so here it is - we play a complete round left handed. I've got knowledge of the shots to play, but how much of an advantage was it? Could we actually play left handed?
We are at Hatfield, north east of Doncaster, playing the 12 hole Pirates Cove course. Although the greens are well trodden in and fast, the holes were well designed and we had fun playing it.
We are at the Golden Putter in Rotherham, playing the 18 hole course. This course is in our top 3 out of those played so far. The holes were varied, including some we had never come across before. A hard but fair challenge for us, in great surroundings.
We are playing the Volcano Valley course at Xscape in Castleford. This is not the tournament course, but is the easier of the two courses there. We didn't do too badly I feel.
We are at Berts Adventure Golf, playing a 12 hole course with similar designs to those found on some tournament courses in Sweden.
A recent trip to Lost City in Hull, where we played the Cobra canyon course
Something a bit different, a how to play video on my local course. Thanks to Henri for teaching me most of what I know, but it's quite different playing the shot. I am using course equipment and teeing off from the black square each time. On a few holes (4 or 5) I managed to get it first time.
Hole 15 of the Volcano Valley course at Xscape. A common type of hole on mini golf courses, but have I found a way to play this hole?
A recent trip to Lost City Adventure Golf in Hull, where Simon and I play the Skull River course. There are 2 courses there, and both courses are full of subtle ramps and elevations. The scenery was great and the course was in very good condition.
We're at Dino Falls, in the light rain, playing the second of the two courses there.
This will be the last video with the original camera lens, I've now got a 20mm wide angled lens so hopefully we'll notice the difference :)
