I felt encouraged by a paragraph in Lizzie Grayson's book Keziah:

"I had many special moments along the journey when God showed me His kindness during the secret times of distress that only He saw."

She felt the kindness and grace of God again whispering His words of encouragement with this following bible verse.

This is a quote from Lizzie Grayson's book Keziah.

"In 1 Corinthians 13:13 it says:

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But
the greatest of these is love.

God’s love had never failed us. It sustained us through the
tough times and carried us through to victory. Along the
way, we had learnt some powerful lessons. Never give up
on your dreams. Don’t give in to negative emotions but
strengthen your Spirit until you soar. Trust in the Word of
God and remember: “Everything is possible for him who
believes” (Mark 9:23). Always give God room to have the
last word. He will never fail you and He is well able."

I am so encouraged by these words of hope on the almond tree by Beatriz’ in her book When the Miracles Comes Slowly:

"In spring the almond tree is the first tree to bloom and it blooms on bare branches. A woman who grafted trees gave us an arm full of flowering almond branches.

The Lord reminded me of His words to Jeremiah:

“I am vigilantly watching to see that My words and promises are fulfilled.”

The Lord watches over the fulfilment of His word in your life also!"

Gordon Pettie's book 'No Sacrifice Too Great', is based on one of CT Studd's favourite quotes: "If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him."

That's exactly how he lived. After working in China and India, he started a mission in the Congo, Africa, which today has grown to be a world wide mission with thousands of missionaries in many different parts of the world. The lessons from his life are an inspiration to us today.
