weekend photo dump 🍄 cooked us a 4 course Italian feast we we ate in bean bags and garden furniture naturally. Then we finished a bottle of knock off Aldi tiramisu Bailey's 🙌

The next day we walked it all off at Christmas lights, and stopped off at a slightly more fancy than we expected meal on the way home.

48 hours in Luxor 💦

We planned to stay 4 days in Luxor and in the end we took 6. We said it was to relax after nonstop site seeing, but who was I kidding, after one afternoon by the pool we took a boat trip to banana island, swam in the Nile and decided to visit the valley of the queens. (More of that is hitting the Instagram story soon)

I thought the pyramids were going to be the most moving thing I saw this trip but Luxor really blew my mind. All my favourite spots ended up being the least famous (except for Karnak which was unbelievable!) That's right, valley of the kings wasn't even the highlight of luxor although it was super cool so w/e.

I wish I had photos of everything, all the great people I met, the coffee shops, the Ramadan lights, all the nice shady shops with free cups of cold hibiscus drink.

For serious if you come here I have hook ups with the most fantastic people and probably the city's best Egyptologist. If you're a nerd like me send me a DM 👀

Luxor feels like an oasis the hottest place I've ever been but so lush and green, birds are chirping everywhere, swooping all over the Nile.

Our hotel which if you've seen the stories you'll know we only booked yesterday is an absolute paradise, I spent all afternoon swimming and I wish I never needed to get out.

There is so much to explore here and I can't wait to get started. I was so sad to leave Cairo but this is the perfect contrast to the busy city.

Thank you so much to for showing us so many amazing places in Cairo, I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a guide around the city! ♥️♥️
