Coventry reacts to The de Bois Review

More than 100 business leaders from across Coventry and Warwickshire recently attended a summer networking event hosted by DMO Destination Coventry (part of Visit Coventry and Conference Coventry and Warwickshire).

The event was held at Assembly Festival Garden and attracted venues, suppliers and key stakeholders from across the tourism, leisure, events and hospitality sector.

Paul Jones, managing director of Destination Coventry, provided an update to businesses on the successes of the DMO’s first eight months – which has included events such as Coventry City of Culture 2021 and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Bradford has been awarded UK City of Culture 2025 by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), taking over from Coventry.

The city will now receive initial seed funding of £275,000 to begin preparation for a year of cultural activities in 2025.
