..what do we have here? Well, it’s a Porsche Carrera GT Zagato, one of just five Zagato’s sanctioned by the Porsche factory.
A beautiful creation if you ask me, I shall now expect to find hens teeth here today at Donnington Park.

..Birkenhead and it’s delightful Hamilton Square, was the venue for todays Cars N Coffee event. Porsches from Wirral Porsche Enthusiasts club gathered in numbers together with other car Marques for a convivial social gathering, with some nice vibes and lots of car ogling. A big thank you is called for to the organisers once again for putting on an enjoyable event.

. New car day today and what do we have?

Well…One of the last of the final production run of the scarce, never to be repeated, Porsche 718 Spyders, and I’m feelin like I’m a lucky boy

It’s shark blue, manual gearbox, 18 way seats, Pirelli PS4S tyres, just how I like it, and it replaces my previous 4 year old Miami blue 718 Spyder.

The colour is growing on me although I miss that previous Miami blue colour. -
I could do a colour change 🤔

And I must mention who have provided a service and an experience which has been over and above all of my expectations.

More than 100 Porsche Spyders convoyed to and then gathered at Beaulieu Motor Museum today and what a rare sight it was to see.

We certainly turned a few heads!

And what a delight it’s been meeting and socialising with friends old and new.
Craig’s Spyder Club is a rare gem of a group conceived and orchestrated by Craig Varty - and so it’s a massive thank you again to and your helpers for wonderful hospitality and for all the fun.😁

When filming a Porsche 992 I find that using another Porsche 992 as the camera car makes good sense as keeping pace won’t become a problem.

For those who may be interested the camera I use is a Sony A7S 3

So resisting was futile, BMWs delectable mega quality RNineT has seduced this aging motorcyclist into handing over my debit card to Haliwell Jones Chester and I rode this machine away. After just 20 miles of riding I’m smitten, I particularly like the quirky feel of the air cooled boxer engine.

.. Porsche Chester now upgrade GT3’s to Manthey Specification. Headline changes being enhanced aero workings, an impressive new wing and suspension changes.

I’ve had a good nosey at two freshly converted examples they have in stock and the most impressive thing is that the famous Porsche Warranty remains intact.

If you can’t get a GT3RS these are worthy of consideration.

The Porsche 992GT3 is simply one of the finest blends of road and track cars I have ever come across and one which requires a mighty effort from its far pricier rivals to even begin to challenge.

In spite of relentless emissions regulations Porsche has triumphed by laying down a new performance benchmark.

I puts the drivers entertainment front and centre of everything.

My advice….If can can, you should.

They say nothing’s perfect but there’s a valid argument that says the 992GTS gets mighty close.

Withs it’s combination of a focused driving experience while giving reasonable every day comfort and a cabin you’d happily spend hours in, this really is a complete package.

Well it’s an annual Porsche meet up and a Porsche only track day held at Oulton Park Circuit and todays 2023 event was a brilliant chance to meet up with friends, make new acquaintances, check out a myriad of Porsche cars old and new and, an excuse to have a proper Porsche fest. This is Another reason to buy a Porsche!
