100mtrs of armoured optical fibre buried from inside the house, down the cliff and into the boathouse in the harbour at the waters edge 🏖

There's still a few amateur radio enthusiasts keeping the hobby going...
An install from last week... A '1/4 wave' wire antenna for 7MHz long range radio. This simple stretch of wire allows two-way communication with people on other continents... This is how we did things before the internet!!!

From 07/08/24 (for a maximum of 6mths), Welsh Gov will not be accepting applications for the alternative broadband scheme - this is to enable them to review the grant ceilings and the schemes administration processes.

Here's a sped up clip of my little hike on a Goodwick Hill job to restore Freeview reception and add two rooms to the antenna feeds. It took nearly three min from the van to the climing position with just one section of all the three section ladders needed. And that was down hill! Six trips in all with ladders and probably more than eight additional trips up and down for various kit and tools! Think I put my steps in that day!!! 😂 Still... What a view 😁
