First big gig of 2023 coming in hot!! We've got some amazing acts lined up for you this year, and we're kicking off on March 3rd with UK reggae sensations Captain Accident and the Disasters.

These guys have toured with T***s and the Maytals and shared the stage with many other huge names in reggae, now they are heading to Haverfordwest as part of their Motherland Tour bringing their new album Bad Press to their home country of Wales.

Hailed as 'the best in British reggae' by the great Dave Rodigan, delighting crowds with their spectacular, high energy performances.

'"Bad Press” transports us effortlessly way back in time nearly half a century to the high water mark of old school roots reggae, dub and ska evoking the prophetic and soulful sounds of the likes of Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Burning Spear, Jimmy Cliff et al while lyrically we stay firmly in the now. It’s finally here!!! The weekend we’ve all been waiting for … the epic, freewheeling, chameleonic Rock n Rollers, Tankus the Henge are playing tonight in The Depot at Haverhub. Friday Live Lounge! Next Friday!🔥

The Dark Street Live Lounge is back with a bang next Friday 28th as we take over The Depot, transforming it into a funky Live Lounge to bring you a stellar line up of local talent.

We are stoked to be welcoming back some of our favourite acts from the Wednesday Live Lounge along with some fresh new faces and sounds.

This week we have the incredible Llewellin Duo with their awesome, uplifting sound and epic guitar skills. Along with Mystic Moose bringing their full rock vibes and legendary tunes and Reality Cheque with fun, lively classic tracks. Plus house band La Loba hosting and playing a short warm up set.

Get down before 8pm for Free Entry, £5 on the door after 8pm.

FRIDAY LIVE LOUNGE! We've had an awesome time hosting the Dark Street Wednesday Live Lounge in The Depot over the last couple of months. Huge thanks to all the incredible acts who have come to get the joint jumping and to all you lovely audience members who came and danced and enjoyed making the events truly special.

We are super excited to announce that we are going to be hosting a new monthly Friday Live Lounge to give even more of you a chance to come out and enjoy a fab line up of local talent. Keep an eye out for upcoming announcements and the first Friday Live Lounge towards the end of October.

We will be back with the Wednesday Live Lounge in spring 2023 and have lots of exciting Dark Street events coming up to see you through those long winter months so stay tuned for more live music events. 🔥🔥

On the 12th November Dark Street Presents will be bringing international rockers Tankus the Henge back to Pembrokeshire! This is always a special gig for the band, with Pembrokeshire being the hometown of guitarist Tim Fulker it is sure to be a spectacular homecoming performance!

Tankus will be joined by local bands Gabe is a Unit, with their unique and destructive blend of debauchery and silliness, and Dark Street house band La Loba bringing a special rock and swing set!

Tankus the Henge have built their reputation on unforgettable songwriting, spectacular live performances and relentless hard work, playing hundreds of shows across Europe and building a devoted fan base along the way.

Their funk-fuelled repertoire is wildly eclectic, ranging from New Orleans inspired swing to heavy rock riffs, and since their beginnings in the ratty alleyways of London’s Soho, the band has evolved into a wild groove machine.

Musically inspired by bands from the British invasion of the 60s and artists such as Tom Waits, Blur, Randy Newman and Queens Of The Stone Age, and with lyrics influenced by 20th Century American Literature, specifically the Beat Generation and Gonzo journalism, Tankus the Henge defy categorisation. Their hair-raising show, like no other, has to be seen and heard to be believed. Like a psychedelic, rock n roll octopus – only with four more legs.

CUDDFEST!
Our next Dark Street event is something a little bit different, we are very excited to be teaming up with the lovely people at Cuddfan feasts to bring you an evening of live music and fantastic food in their beautiful woodland tipi setting.
Expect gypsy jazz from the wonderful Swinging Nettles and La Loba’s mix of reggae swing and folk rock along with djs to keep your feet tapping all night long.

Oh man what a night!!! Thanks so much to everyone who came you are all a bunch of stars!! We were treated to an amazing show by the incredible Friendly Fire Band who brought their sweet uplifting vibes getting the dancefloor moving and bringing big smiles all round.

Big up to all the awesome DJ's and Skarumba Hi-Fi / Fat Cat Sound for keeping the tunes pumping all night long.

Friendly Fire Band
The Friendly Fire Band are UK reggae legends, with guitarist/producer Robi Don running a record label, recording studio, and dubplate services, they work with a collective of musicians, DJs and artists who are united to push uplifting positive reggae music.
As if this amazing band wasn't enough, we are extremely lucky to have three amazing MC's joining them! Myki Tuff, Tomlin Mystic and Lukas Daley will be toasting the crowd back-to-back and keeping things moving with their distinct energies and styles!

Nostalgia Steelband
Opening the event at 7pm we are honoured to present one of Notting Hills founding Steelpan groups Nostalgia Steelband!
They were first traditional ‘pan-around-neck’ band in the UK and remains so up to today. Based in London, they are an inclusive diverse band with strong links to the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and The Americas, who perform both within the UK and abroad.
Nostalgia's mission is to expose everyone to the carnival arts and the culture and musical traditions, and we can't wait to welcome them to Pembrokeshire!

Skarumba Hi-Fi
Skarumba are Welsh Soundsystem pioneers, bringing their signature 'Warmth & Shine' uplift party vibes to the coast, valleys, and hills of Aberystwyth for over 15 years! Their infamous decor transforms venues, and with their stunning handbuild soundsystem in tow, HaverHub will look and sound better than it ever has!
Founding members DuBios and D-Selekta will be keeping things moving between acts in the evening and finishing off the night with a right ole knees up with a top-shelf mix of classic and modern tunes!

La Loba
Dark Street house band La Loba have put together an extra special reggae set as their 3-piece lineup just for this event! You can look forward to originals and classic covers, as well as some unique takes on old folk tunes! All delivered with the strong grooves, heavy basslines, and soulful vocals that give La Loba their high-vibe signature sound!

Awesome Dark Street Presents event at YHA broadhaven last night! Big thanks to everyone to came down to check it out. Lush performances from Nel Jenkins who treated us to a soulful sunset session and La Loba who got the dance floor moving with their unique mix of reggae, swing and folk rock! 😎
Was amazing to watch Nel play her stunning music as the sun set, and was a joy to play as La Loba to such a wonderfully happy and receptive crowd!

We had amazing opening weekend celebrations here at Dark Street on the weekend. Lots of interesting visitors and conversations followed by four amazing performances from Keepers The Llewellin Duo La Loba to a packed HaverHub on saturday, thanks everyone you were wonderful!!

Sunday saw us hosting an Open mic for the amazing Key Change Collective a network for women and gender minorities in music which saw some amazing performances in the cosy and intimate surroundings of the studio which makes an awesome performance space.

The open mic led us into the first of the Dark Street jam nights which was an raucous and exciting affair and saw some incredible improvised jamming and the formation of an 8 piece band! Great fun!! Thanks to all who came along. Look out for more events, jams and open days at the studio.

The live room has two detatched concrete risers.
It would be misleading to call them floating risers as it's several inches of rock, block and concrete on an inch of rockwool, so while not much, there is some separation.
