A week on from the end of the Peking to Paris rally and I’ve had a bit of time to reflect on what an epic experience it was.
14,500km through 9 countries in 37 days, lots of emotional highs and lows but all in all an amazing adventure shared with a great team of people.
I was there to film the event with the drone but I did manage to grab a few stills too, I know a hand full of pictures won’t do the journey justice but I’ll give it a go 🙂🎥
Some shots from the last few days on the Peking to Paris endurance rally, from the stunning canyon in the Great Sea Road National Park In China to Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan. At 750km today is one of the longest driving days on the event as we head from Almaty to Shymkent 🎥
Coming to the end of the first country in the 2024 Peking to Paris endurance rally. We set off from Peking on the 18th of May, filming cars up to 110 years old endeavouring to compete the gruelling 14,500km route. The following 11 days in China have been amazing; deserts, snow capped mountains and pretty much everything in between challenging the crews as much as the cars. Kazakhstan now beckons with the promise of more adventure! 🎥

Snowy North Yorkshire as the fog starts to close in. Last night was brutal in the snow and ice and a few cars have succumbed to the elements. Low on sleep but tonight’s stop in Newcastle will recharge the batteries a bit before the tough legs 4&5 pushing all the way to John O Groats through the night on Monday
Sunny start to LeJog at Lands End, 75 hours and 1500 miles later we’ll be in John O’ Groats 😊❄️🚗

Released yesterday afternoon, arrived today, thanks to the team for the quick delivery! A useful addition to the drone line up which will be invaluable for filming in trickier areas 😊

Just home from almost a month away working on 2 very different shoots, kicking off with the London to Lisbon rally thru France, Andorra, Spain and finally into Portugal over some stunning roads and then a quick flight over to Barcelona to join up with the US Paralympic soccer squad to film at the World Cup. Great trips, great people to work with but it is very good to be home! 😊

Day 1 of LeJog, competitors arriving at a misty Lands End, setting off on a 1200 mile journey tomorrow morning
Fun afternoon on the other side of the camera today and actually playing live for the first time in ages for It’ll be out early November apparently 😊
Day 3’s stage from Inverness to Aberdeen, the ford was the highlight for me, tricky drone flight with all the trees but the cars were the only thing that ended up getting a bath!
Yesterday’s rally stage from Pitlochry to Inverness taking in places like Glenshee, Kincardine Castle, the Lecht and a few distilleries, it is the Scottish Malts Rally after all!
So this week I’m filming about 60 of these driving around Scotland, day 1, Edinburgh to Pitlochry via the routes less travelled!
