We welcome you our studio next to Queen Victoria’s holiday home in East Cowes.

We have put everything into this and more to pursue our passion and what we love doing most!

1 mic or 38 mics?

Our Townsend L22 is a special microphone as it’s stereo out enables it to change to any polar pattern and/or mic model in post with it’s unique plugin!
From world class ribbons to a 57, we use this mic as our main vocal mic and as an ‘experiment’ mic to record and decide on tonal quality later so we can focus on the performance first.

Rock drummer tries to play Jazz 😂 Here’s the first reel of my new vintage set and LM400, all specs are talked through at the end on the full version on my YouTube

This new drum sound is MEGA I haven’t posted a drum reel in this new space and just had to go extreme with the room sound and hard hittin 😆 No edits No samples No reverb plugins As you can hear, there is a massive room sound, thanks to our stairwell outside the drum room we can get the roomiest drums creating some of the best drum sounds we’ve ever made 😆🤘 I’ve also been adjusting my setup for better recordings, so mainly raising my cymbals higher for better seperation. But also no rimshots, not hitting cymbals so hard or burying the beater in some cases…. Just not in this clip lol Audio and video by @tobyjones_drums @calliopestudiosuk
