From 25th October 2021 to 4th March 2022 The A120 will be closed on Weeknights between Ramsey and Horsley Cross Roundabout, The closure will be 8pm till 6am.

This doesn't include weekends when the road will remain fully open

We are currently on scene at a fatal collision on the between Colchester and Harwich.

It was reported that a lorry had been in collision with a pedestrian around 7am today (Friday 15 October) near to the slip road with the A133.

A man has sadly been pronounced dead at the scene.

The road is expected to remain closed into this afternoon while investigative work is carried out.

Please avoid the area if possible.

Harwich Guy Carnival will return this year on 30th October, meet the top of Ainger Road at 6pm and will conclude in Harwich with Halfway stop at Dovercourt football Ground

Harwich Guy Carnival, Saturday 30th October, 2021
- Procession starts Ainger Road, Dovercourt and ends in West Street, Harwich
- Floats of any size can take part
- Marshals are needed to help the procession pass safely through the streets of Harwich and Dovercourt
- The Selfie Competition will return (take a selfie with the Guy Carnival in the background)
- Over 70 Big Heads are available to wear
- Collecting buckets available for those who are walking in fancy dress
- Prizes to be won for costumes and float entries
- Please bring your pennies to drop in the collecting buckets
- All money collected goes to local good causes and charities
