Happy New Toastmaster Year and a warm welcome to our new committee members. Gavin has passed the briefcase across to our new Club President, Venkatesh.

We had an enjoyable meeting last week, with an interesting table topics session from David focusing on how to expand on short questions, inspired by a past Cambridge essay exam question of simply "Why?"

This week we had two speeches. Our first was from Matt, his first one with the club. The second was from Gavin, who stood in last minute with a prepared reserve speech. Both extremely enjoyable and brilliantly delivered.

Our next meeting will be Monday 11th July and we welcome any guests who would like to come along.
