Broken Toy amnesty

Tomorrow, Thursday 23rd May is the last day for you to drop off your broken toys for recycling for the moment.

Accepted waste:
- BROKEN OR DAMAGED toys & games from all brands, in plastic, metal, wood.
Waste that is NOT accepted:
- Toys & games in good condition and working order (please give these away or donate to charity shops)
- Electronic toys and games
- Batteries and battery operated toys and games
- Toy vehicles (e.g bicycles, tricycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.)
- Baby and toddler furniture (e.g. playpens, car seats, high chairs, swings, bouncy seats, etc.)
- Soft toys

You can drop them off en-form The Colchester Environment Centre, 15 Church Walk, Colchester, CO1 1NS from 11am till 2.30pm tomorrow. For tomorrow only you can leave them on our doorstep from 8am.

I have given a blood sample today in the name of medical science. My sample will be used to help tackle many different diseases and find ways to prevent them.

They are always looking for volunteers, you can sign up online at www.ourfuturehealth.org.uk/join/

It only takes 15-30 minutes for the in person appointment, where your height, weight, waistline and blood pressure are recorded, and a blood sample is taken. It's as simple as that!

Anyone aged 18 or over can join the study.

This is for the next generation and the future health of all of us! For Science!

Our world is in turmoil. More than 84 million people have fled their homes worldwide because of conflict or disaster, and that number is rising.

That's why I'm taking the Ration Challenge. For one week, I'll be eating the same rations as a Syrian refugee - just a small amount of rice, flour, lentils, chickpeas, beans, fish (or tofu) and oil.

It is going to be hard, but it will all be worth it because I will be raising money to help bring emergency food, healthcare and life-saving support to the people who need it most.

Yet another negative story about EV drivers, nothing but opinion from tweets, how does this even count as news? And why shouldn't I or anyone else have an electric car despite being unable to charge at home? Sick of seeing negative stories about EVs, never real news, always opinions from 5 twitter users and that's it. I wonder who funds these stories? Or is it just easy pickings?
