The festival gates open in just a few days time, so let's talk real ale, cider, spirits and money! Please be aware that both bars are CASH ONLY, we do not have the facility to take card payments at the bars and there are no cash points on site. The nearest cash points are in Cirencester, or the Tesco in Tetbury. In addition, it would be wise to assume that traders may not be able to take card either, so please come prepared.

This was during the tracking sessions for Amy's new project, from which the first single 'Pencil Me In' is out now. We all had an amazing time working together on this, a seemingly effortless collaboration of lovely talented people.
I engineered, drummed and mixed it, under the excellent guidance of producer Damien O'Kane.

Dearest Stargazers, it is with heavy hearts that we announce this year’s festival will be our last for now and that we have decided to take a break on our festival journey. Worry not though, all is on track to ensure that 2024 will be our best yet and a fitting celebration of 10 stellar years, join us if you are able! 🎪🥳

We never imagined that a wild idea conceived around our dining room table, overlooking the hills near Cawthorne, would blossom into the amazing festival it is today. 😮 When we started a decade ago, we were driven, as now, by passion and a sense of adventure. Now, we find ourselves in different places, both personally and professionally and operating in different times. We can’t believe this will be our
tenth event - it is an amazing achievement and now our adventures are leading us in different directions. 😊➡️⬆️⬅️⬇️

This decision, though difficult, feels right as we embrace these new chapters in our lives. 📖 Looking back, we are overwhelmed with pride and joy. From our humble beginnings to welcoming a beautiful, ever-growing audience, every moment has been a dream come true. 🥹 The laughter, music, and unforgettable memories we’ve shared together have exceeded our wildest expectations. Never say never of course and no-one ever knows what we might do in the future. Mike Dawes made a new album, mostly with me in my studio, but also with Casey Sabol and Jukka Backlund with cameos from Jenee Fleenor Plini and Jack Gardiner

It’s called G A L A C T I C A C I D named after a funny moment in the studio when Mike played a section waay too many times (I mean, he nailed it on take 3, but he’s a perfectionist 🤣)

Those test pressings I was approving the other day? That was this 🤩 Pre-order the vinyl, it’s very good.

I attended amazing show last night at the Wesleyan church in Redruth, primarily to see Will Keating who I’ve been working with this week, but the concert was 8 amazing singer songwriters singing in Cornish with amazing orchestral arrangements performed by the 45 piece Cornwall Concert Orchestra with The Breselor Ensemble and The Treylva Collective

Songwriters: Ben Sutcliffe Music Angeline Morrison Music (who I had the pleasure of mixing at last year) Rosie Vanier Martin Skews Elizabeth Freeborn Daniel Woodfield Annie Baylis and poet Fiona O'Cleirigh

It wasn’t clear who had done the arrangements, but they were excellent and someone had done a LOT of work, hats off to all involved. Cornish music is alive and well, so much more so than when I left 25 years ago.

Ok, this is a good development. I like vinyl, but it's a nasty material and is becoming enormously popular. We're currently replacing one dirty plastic medium with an older dirtier plastic!

Went to see the Transatlantic Sessions at Bristol Beacon with Mike Dawes

Particular highlight for me was Allison de Groot ‘s clawhammer banjo being super-clear in the mix without sacrificing it’s lovely earthy warmth. Also Lindsay Lou 👌

Soo much fun at Celtic Connections last night

I mixed a show for Damien O'Kane and Ron Block with their band Duncan Lyall Music and plus illustrious guests Michael McGoldrick Music Sierra Hull and Kate Rusby in the amazing Barony Hall, Glasgow.

Also on the bill were the lovely Madeleine Stewart Trio and
the house crew were super helpful, chilled and efficient all day 👍👍
