Oh nice! Mike Dawes went back to Rick Beato's place to chat about the new album 'Galactic Acid' that he made with me.

In the video, Mike alludes to our 'Edits like barcodes' level of perfectionism in the studio. An ex-student of the degree course I used to teach on, the tables quickly turned and Mike has taught me so much over the years. He's always very encouraging when asking me to try something I don't think I can achieve - he's usually right, and I gain a new skill. Through this process, our productions are getting pretty unique, and well-honed, and Mike's incredible musicality can really shine and move people all over the world.

You can listen to the whole of 'I'm Glad That's Not My Dog', featuring some brilliant in-studio intro jam / sparring between Charlotte and Evan Davies.

This one was recorded all together in the room with no overdubs. That's not as common as you might think and it takes some pretty special musicians to pull it off.

There are 6 workshops and a house coming up for rent where my studio is. Some available right now, and some over the next few months. Various shapes & sizes.
At least two of the workshops are great live/work spaces, or even just residential.

Started setting up for Didmarton Bluegrass Festival today.
Don't for get to bring some cash (although the beer is super-cheap, so you don't need piles of it!)

The festival gates open in just a few days time, so let's talk real ale, cider, spirits and money! Please be aware that both bars are CASH ONLY, we do not have the facility to take card payments at the bars and there are no cash points on site. The nearest cash points are in Cirencester, or the Tesco in Tetbury. In addition, it would be wise to assume that traders may not be able to take card either, so please come prepared.
