Little Brook Studio is a music production studio in Gatley run by Jamie McIntyre the bass player & producer for Manchester indie band The Covasettes. Jamie has over a decade of experience recording all things "guitar music" and has amassed over 4 million streams on Spotify alone over the course of this career. His musical career started at the early age of 8, when he began training as a chorister

for the world-renowned Magdalen College Choir, Oxford. During this time, Jamie was fortunate enough to work with industry greats such as Paul McCartney for his Ecce Cor Meum (recorded at Abbey Road Studios), Kate Bush performing on the Golden Compass Soundtrack, and Josh Groban on his multi-platinum album Noël

Today, Jamie's projects span an eclectic range of genres ranging from indie-pop to progressive metal with a focus on all things guitar-based. If you want a massive, modern yet lively and authentic-sounding record, then Little Brook Studio is the place to go.

Today we're looking back on 'Wave' by The Covasettes.

Personally, I think this may well be my best production to date (that's currently released 😉).

No matter how experienced you are, it's rare to get a final mix that's 100% perfection, exactly the way you envisioned it.

And yet that's exactly what we achieved with this song! I couldn't be more proud.

This is a BIG one. Of all the songs I've worked on, it's hard to argue that this is a standout in my career so far.

2 million streams, a shoutout from Tubbo with his over 5 million Twitch followers.... this song TRIPLED The Covasettes social media following in a single day.

Oh and did I mention that this song earns more money per month than the average minimum-wage teenager? Sure, that's not a lot of money, but it's still pretty wild!

Hard to believe it's been two years since The Covasettes came to the studio to start recording 'Watching All The Good Ones Go'.

This song marked a bit of a turning point in the musical style of the band, starting to move away from the straight indie rock, and heading towards something more articulate and nuanced.

This was only the 3rd song in the band's career, and somehow it made it onto not one but TWO Spotify editorial playlists in the form of the and playlists.

Over a million streams later and this tune is STILL going strong! 💪

Feels like simpler times looking back at the day first reached out to me asking me to produce 'Empty Swimming Pool'.

The band have come SO FAR since those days. Found a whole new sound, and seriously honed in on their craft

Congratulations to HAWKE THE BAND for making it to the FINALS of the International Songwriting Competition, judged by none other than Coldplay, among other big names!

Seeing a song that was produced here make it to the top 2% of anything is fantastic, but with 15,000 other entries to compete against I couldn't be more buzzing for them 🎶🔥

Big Dreamer by The Covasettes has been out now for a little while. This one was a BIG project with layer upon layer of vocal harmonies, synths galore and much much more. Huge thanks to John Catlin for the mix and John Davis/Metropolis for the mastering.

Another tune from The Covasettes here. I've learned a lot while producing these guys, but I think this was probably the very first time I listened back to the 100% raw tracks and thought "nope, nothing I'd change there". Big moment in my career!

Absolutely mad to be able to say that this tune is sitting pretty on several thousand streams A DAY! So that somehow means that this song earns as much as a 16-year-old working 5 hours a day on minimum wage. Completely surreal...
