d yn gyfle i rannu gwybodaeth am beth sydd yn digwydd yn y diwydiant o ran cyfleodd gwaith ac unrhyw ddigwyddiadau gan yn aml yr undeb yw'r cyntaf i glywed am y rhain. Rydym hefyd yn gweld y safle fel lle medrwn sgwrsio mewn modd anffurfiol a hwyliog. This site has been set up by the BECTU Freelance Branches in Wales so that we can stay in touch and talk about the industry in Wales. The site is open to anyone whether they are a BECTU member or a member one of our sister unions or not. We hope that those who aren't members will see the value of working together and will decide to join and there may be occasions where information may have to be limited to members only. This is also an opportunity to let you know what is going on in the industry in the way of job opportunities a digwtdduaday which the union is often the first to hear about. We hope it will also be a place where we can chat in an informal and fun way.

It was such a privilege to be part of the International Workers Memorial Day with friends at Wales TUC & trade unions, the First Minister and the Minister for Social Partnerships.

Congratulations to Ken Loach & Paul Laverty & all crew & cast involved in this film. Can't wait to see it.

Very sad to hear that 87 year old Ken Loach was unable to be at the premier.

We need many more films like these that better reflect the people who live in our communities & about asylum seekers & refugees. So that we can understand why rhey are fleeing their homes & coming to Western countries for safety?

How can we all benefit & be enriched as a society culturally, educationally & economically from welcoming these individuals & families to be a part of our communities.

Ken Loach cares deeply about discrimination and is one of the few film makers who tell these anti-poverty, anti racism stories from the perspective of working class people.

It is therefore difficult to understand why the Labour party have thrown him out of the party & castigate Labour party politicians who positively engage with Ken Loach such as Mayor of North Tyne Jamie Driscoll.

Surely Starmer & his team should be looking to people like Ken Loach to help win the next UK election and not grovelling to the likes of Murdoch to get their message across. It's not the people in boats that are the problem, it's the ever greedy, obscenely financially wealthy top 1%

We desperately need a change in government so that we can have a more equal & fair society where wealth in the 6th richest country in the world is shared equally amongst the population
