Delighted to have supplied the vocal for The Vanities latest release ‘Just Passing Through’.

Had great fun tracking my parts here at my Mwnci Shed studio, vocal flown over to Rhys (Vanities) and Al Steele at Shabbey Road Studios to do their supa-thang!!

Aah it was most magical to hear our original arrangement come to life with the fantastic Band of HM Royal Marines. Many thanks to Hannah Trudgeon for translating and amplifying the music into something truly inspirational. She is indeed a master arranger!
Of course the real stars of the show are the students. They light up each room they walk into, and HM Royal Marines were not unmoved by the Music Man experience!

Just before The Korgis released Kartoon World the whole band were very excited about this song.... in fact it was just on the verge of being the final single release featuring Seye Adelekan (Gorillaz) and Parisian soul-stress Laura Prince
On this Upstairs at Shabbey Road session here is a version more as it started out. This is an Al Steele/James Warren co-write and here Al is joined by some chums. It was a great day - but must sort out the exposure on the 360 camera before we start filming next time!!
