🐆Throwback to when I worked on and got the chance to spend 3 months getting to know Willow and Maya. Willow is the noble looking cheetah and Maya is the mischievous jaguar with one our tripod handles in her mouth.

Sunrise from The Isle of Rum looking back towards the mainland. This is where I saw my first Sea Eagle and got to film Red Deer for the first time. Incredible island in the Inner Hebrides. One day I hope to go back!

🍁For the Autumn episode of I was tasked with capturing American Maple and Oak leaves changing colour. It’s a behaviour I’d never tried to capture before and was particularly nerve wracking, because you ultimately only get one chance a year to get it and there’s no certainty that the leaves will go through the process of turning from green into the impressive display of orange and red we were hoping for. In the order to match the change in temperature necessary for the leaves to change, we decided to film the process, not in my studio, but instead in an old stone-walled workshop. (Which was a lot more exposed to the elements) The amount of daylight (using Telos Pro 6 grow lights) was decreasingly controlled to match the sharp decrees of daylight in Autumn also.

I can’t tell you how exciting it was to see the colours start to change and know that we’d got the footage in the bag. Only hiccup was a mouse chewing through one of the motor cables during one of the shots.🐭
