Am I Being Unreasonable? is BACK with a second series, premiering 9.30pm tonight on BBC One with all 6 eps available now on iPlayer👏

The team behind the RTS & BAFA-winning comedy-thriller once again based at The Bottle Yard, where they built sets for interiors of the family home belonging to lead character Nic (Daisy May Cooper) and the caravan she shares with best friend Jen (Selin Hizli) in the new series. Filming also took place at West country locations including Wookey village in Somerset and Chavenage House in Gloucestershire 🎬

This was a dramatic shoot in more ways than one! Daisy May Cooper has recently revealed how S2 filming was forced to pause in Jun'24 when she was rushed from set to hospital due to the premature arrival of her baby son! We were able to work with Boffola to support their rescheduling, so that filming could resume later in the year, wrapping in Oct'24.

Chrissie Broadway, Head of Production at Boffola Pictures, says: “The region offers an incredible blend of creativity, logistical support, and natural beauty that perfectly complements the tone of the show. The Bottle Yard’s facilities are second to none. Plus the team at The Bottle Yard have always been incredibly supportive and adaptable, particularly when we had to pause filming unexpectedly last year.

“The West Country itself – with its rich locations, from the quaint streets of Somerset to the grand estates of Gloucestershire – has such a unique character, which adds layers of depth to our story. Couple all of that with the amazing local production talent and there really couldn’t be a better home for Am I Being Unreasonable?.”

Boarders returns to BBC Three and iPlayer on Mon 3rd Feb👏

After shooting S1 with us in 2023, Studio Lambert (part of All3Media) returned to Bristol to film S2 over 12 weeks last Summer.

Interiors for the characters’ London homes were built in the Studios, whilst Bristol Film Officetol Film Office supported at a number of locations, including the same Bristol school that featured in S1🎬

Exec Producer Madeleine Sinclair says: “The Studios and Film Office were very accommodating and helped facilitate the shoot in every way possible. We spent eight weeks in the school and four on location. As well as filming on studio sets, we also used locations around The Bottle Yard site which were really useful for other settings. Bristol is an incredible place to film, and we were very pleased to engage with the skills work at the Studio to bring forward local crew talent. We always try to offer as many local opportunities as possible.”

Around 90 people worked on the shoot per day, and over 70% of the crew were local to the region. The team hosted trainees in nearly every production department and also engaged locally with the Workforce Development Programme delivered at the Studios, giving work experience to local trainee Sophie in the art department. Bristol company Latent Pictures, which works with underrepresented filmmakers, once again produced ‘behind the scenes’ footage for the series, after working with Studio Lambert on series one.

The MOST enjoyable few hours at the sold out RTS West of England preview of series 2 last night at Watershed, an evening we were proud to support with our partners Bristol Film Office🎬

Fascinating insights into the creative process that brought S2 to screen, from director Sarmad Masud, Studio Lambert’s Madeleine Sinclair & two of our favourite 5 ‘St Gilbert’ scholars, Josh Tedeku (Jaheim) and Bristol’s very own Myles Kamwendo (Omar) - all brilliantly hosted by Stacey Olika✨

As well as filming locally at The Bottle Yard and on location around Bristol with Film Office assistance, the production continued its impressive commitment to regional skills development and ensuring representation on both sides of the camera 👏

By engaging with our 2024 Workforce Development Programme at the Studios, they provided a placement for local trainee Sophie Kirk in the Art Dept, and once again worked with Bristol company Latent Pictures to create the show’s EPK 🎥

Watch the full series from Monday 3rd Feb on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer!

Not one, but two Bristol-made TV treats in store this festive period, to suit viewers of all ages👏

🎄The Famous Five: Mystery at The Prospect Hotel, premieres 23rd Dec on on CBBC / 31 Dec on BBC One 🎄
The Bottle Yard Studios hosted sets and production HQ for series two of this hit Enid Blyton adaptation. Filming took place on the show's beautiful ‘Kirrin Cottage’ sets in the studio and locations across Wales and the South West, including Gloucestershire’s Berkeley Castle, Chavenage House (which doubled for The Prospect Hotel) and Whitminster House.

Moonage Pictures MD and Exec Producer Frith Tiplady, says: “We always jump at the opportunity to take a Moonage Pictures show to Bristol...The South West is blessed with extremely talented crews we love working with. This teamed with the abundance of fantastic filming locations and The Bottle Yard Studios who have already homed three Moonage shows, with another filming next year, makes Bristol one of the most film friendly cities and regions in the UK.”

🎄The Road Trip, streaming on Paramount+ from Boxing Day🎄
The Bottle Yard Studios hosted sets and production HQ for the six part romcom about giving love another shot, based on Beth O'Leary's best-seller and produced by 42 (makers of The Flatshare). In addition, Bristol Film Office assisted with numerous locations around the city - look out for Totterdown, Armada House and a car stunt in Clifton that will make your head spin!

Eight local entrants gained work experience with the production - facilitated by our Studio team - shadowing camera, costume, make up, script supervision and art departments. Tyron (22) says: “I genuinely had so much fun, meeting new people and being creative. I feel much more confident entering into the scripted TV world especially as a minority. I will definitely cherish this opportunity.”

Grace (21) says: "I enjoyed every second. I learnt so much from everyone around me. I feel this experience has very much confirmed my decision to script supervise in this industry.” Students from our friends at Bristol Film School boomsatsuma also gained online work experience on the production 💖
