New Skype romcom 'Match Not Found' launches 16th October on YouTube. New online series Match Not Found is a modern romcom that follows the story of Kat (Katie Sheridan) , who is on an eventful quest for the right man. Feeling fragile after an unexpected breakup she's now on the rebound with the help of her friends, the vivacious and flirtatious Janna (Kirsty J Curtis) and the no nonsense computer
programmer Doug (Connor Mills). As the trio hurtle from one dating disaster to the next , it's clear that Kat's friends are no experts in love either. The show is a weekly digital rendezvous set entirely on Skype, chronicling modern love, life and friendship online. Katie Sheridan who starred in the popular Nickelodeon show Genie In The House and has appeared in major advertising campaigns for Virgin Trains, Oral B and McDonalds, has co-written and co-produced the show with best friend, up and coming writer Alex Oates. He was in the core team of writers of popular BBC series E20 and his plays 'Silk Road' and 'Pig' have received rave reviews. Katie commented 'Match Not Found is warm and funny but also explores the idea of starting over and how difficult this can be. For Kat, it's a journey of trying to come to terms with change and embracing the unknown'. The show has been created for Bytesized Entertainment, an exciting start up focusing on innovative content produced specifically for the Digital space. Match Not Found aims to explore both the benefits and complications that technology has on our relationships today. Katie commented 'Whenever we see the characters in the show they are online and throughout the series are shown to be quite heavily dependent on social media. These friends who have followed different walks of life have been able to stay in touch thanks to online resources like Skype. But with the pros come the cons. We see Janna get dumped over social media, Doug's dismissed by a girl he's totally suitable for because of a throw away comment he's posted online and Kat discovers via Facebook that her ex may have instantly replaced her with someone new...often leaving the characters feeling anything but connected. So it's a theme we felt was relevant and has plenty of room for exploration.'
Match Not Found is due for release starting from the 16th October! Starring Katie Sheridan, Kirsty J Curtis, Connor Mills, Lilly Driscoll, Nicholas Clarke, Lee Ranns and Michael Lewis.
