Pulse Music Productions is a "one stop shop" music company based in the North East of England; set up by Musicians for Musicians. Formed in 2011 for a one off music event in the town of Blyth, Pulse Music Promotions officially opened for business in July 2012 as a booking agent working with venues in the town to help improve the local music scene. Music successfully acquired the town's local rehearsal studios My Big Bedroom, on Grasmere Way in the Blyth Riverside Business Park. Renaming the premises to Pulse Music Studios the company rebranded as Pulse Music Productions to better reflect the company's growing list of services. Focussing and utilising our own experience from within the music industry earned over the past 14 years; Pulse Music Productions offers a variety of services from rehearsal & recording services, equipment & PA hire, studio/live/on site photography, booking agency work and merchandise replication. Having worked and performed within the music industry since 2001 at various levels; combined with experience in retail, web design, management and other professional industries, Pulse Music Productions was formed with the intent of assisting musicians with joining the dots between the many industries servicing grass roots, amateur, semi professional and professional musicians in the region, effortlessly and professionally. We believe that the North East contains as much talent as anywhere else in the country, but that options are limited for many artists in our area in the current financial climate. Our goal is to provide information to bands and musicians via our website for going DIY whilst also providing services and assistance to musicians in order to develop a stronger local music scene that the rest of the UK has no choice but to see for themselves.

We're back at Blyth Community Enterprise Centre's annual Christmas fayre today.

We have our whole range of stock available- so save yourself a trip and pick up what you need locally- plectrums, drumsticks, guitar straps, strings, cables etc. Don't have what you're looking for? We can order for local pick up.

We're also showcasing our print wear. Looking for something special? You can order your own design on a wide range of gifts- baubles, rock slate, coasters, dog collars, T-shirts, Santa sacks, Christmas pillows and so much more.

You can also find lots of other local sellers, FREE face painting, FREE rock hunt, FREE kid's crafts, and visit Santa for just £2.

Just a quick notice to customers to let them know that we are still open despite the weather doing weather things!

Reports of Blyth having become an underwater city and having drifted off into the North Sea have been somewhat exaggerated, although not by much!

Having driven through Blyth for the last 30 minutes in order to get here, there's 2 inches of water on every road with a stream running down it, so your feet will get wet if you're out and about walking, however we're on a hill so that's not as big a problem. There's a few areas where it's flooded such as the Town Centre, Newsham Road and some residential streets throughout the town, but the main roads such as Rotary Way and Cowpen Road are water logged but still open. Due to this reason traffic is moving much slower than usual, so we advise customers to give themselves plenty of time to make the journey here for their practice due to heavy traffic on the roads.

We should also mention that we do have some availability for slides tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for any customers who don't feel comfortable making the journey today, to avoid having to outright cancel your practice.

To all Pulse Music Customers,

Please be aware that we have reluctantly been forced to increase our Room Hire charge from £15 per hour, to £16 per hour.

Whilst we have tried to absorb the minimum wage rise, unfortunately, this rise has resulted in a number of our utilities and services having been increased since April and we have been forced to raise the charge to cope with these increases.

The price rise will come into effect for all bookings from Thursday the 1st of August 2024.

Just a message to notify customers that due to changes in schedules for a few of our regulars, Tuesdays and Thursdays have now become regularly available at both 6pm and 8pm for the foreseeable future rather than being blocked out as they have been for some time.

We are currently receiving a much higher than average number of cancellations both short notice and long term as customers flee the country for pastures much warmer for the summer (Obviously everyone has given up waiting for the warmer weather to finally arrive! 😂). With this in mind this means we have a number of peak time slots which would normally be taken by our regulars which have become available throughout the rest of June & July.

Our rooms are available to hire Monday - Friday 12pm - 12am, Saturdays 12pm - 5pm and Sundays 11am - 11pm. Room hire is just £15 per hour and includes use of full PA with Microphones, any guitar/bass cabs/amps and full 5 piece drum kits with stands. Cymbals can be hired for just £1 per hour.

Got tired of people saying that they still didn't know which room was which after 20 years. Apparently the little vinyl numbers and the old signs that were on the doors for 8 years weren't enough, so hoping these ones should do it! Hope this helps! 😅

We've received a complaint from one of our neighbours that customers are repeatedly parking infront of their drive in the evening. They have claimed that this is happening every night and we have instructed them to let us know if any vehicle is required moving in future.

We would like to remind customers that several businesses also operate late hours on the estate and politely request that all users of the studios avoid parking infront of, or on, drives of any neighbouring units as 24 hour access is required at all times. This evening the vehicle in question was slightly overhanging their drive and so we ask customers to please check to make sure that their vehicles are not encroaching on the access to our neighbour's properties.

The only exception is that of PHD Plastics whom have kindly offered us to use their drive after hours (5:30pm onwards) on an evening or on Sundays in exchange for use of our drive during our closed hours.

The Funeral will be held on Thursday 11 January at 1:45pm - Cowpen Crem, Blyth.

We regret to pass on the news that Mark Whiteman has passed away in his sleep last night.

Many people will know that Mark previously owned our studios prior to us purchasing it in February 2013 where it traded under the name My Big Bedroom Studios. As I imagine many people do, we hold many very fond memories of times spent singing and playing music with Mark.

We are aware that many of our customers past and present will likely wish to pass on their respects. When we know more about funeral arrangements, we will post them here.
