Both Emker Cel (band) and Jamie Bosanko (solo) are playing this event tomorrow. They are the first two artists on, starting at 6pm.

Tomorrow (Saturday 20th) we play a set of all new material at Barrow Underground Music Society at a multi-band gig headlined by Despicable band. £5 in I believe, and we’re on after Seahouse Records label mate Jamie Bosanko around 6.45. This is me after today’s rehearsal. The band’s sounding good!

In previous years, there has been an increase in reports of domestic abuse during major football tournaments, when alcohol-fuelled nights out and inflamed emotions arise.

Women's Community Matters in Barrow will be holding regular drop in sessions for victims of domestic abuse throughout the Euros 2024 tournament, offering the opportunity to speak to a specially trained officer who can offer advice and safety planning.

This week the drop in sessions are:

- Monday 1st July
- Wednesday 3rd July

Nobody should ever have to suffer domestic abuse – and if you’re scared, there is help out there. Always dial 999 in an emergency.

I would just like to take a minute to congratulate Matthew Davidson and his team for putting on another massively successful Funeral Fest in our hometown of Barrow. It is no small feat to put on such a festival that contains local, national and international acts, and to do so in such a professional and successful way shows that this is really something special. Although none of our artists fit the bill for this festival (Sharpshooter were nearly ours and I recorded their excellent EP, that’s my claim), we still recognise a job brilliantly done.
Well done everyone involved, from your friends on the Seahouse label.
