After a little bit of a rescue mission, (breakdown) due to a loose wire connection, Monty is back up and running in his home country again 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and even better news, it cost less than £5 to fix 💷👍🏼

Let’s Catch Up ✈️🇦🇺🦘🐨
I got loadsss of questions at the weekend so I thought I’d answer 5 FAQ’s to fill you in on what I’ve been up to since I moved away before I go back 🛩️

1. What’s it like over there, do I like it? - I BLOODY LOVE IT! And it’s just amazing, it’s another world and I can’t explain to you how different life feels over there. If you go even for the shortest time, you’ll understand what I mean!

2. Where do I live? - I live in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, around an hour and a half up from Brisbane in a town called Maroochydore. I have a housemate who’s amazing, couldn’t have asked to live with anyone better, she’s become a friend I’ll have for life that’s for sure!

3. What about the snakes and spiders? - Well to tell you the truth I love both so I’m not really phased, however I really don’t see that many. That could be down to me living by the coast but I barely see any of either, I did get a small friend a few weeks ago though so I’ve popped a pic of him chilling on my front door!

4. How easy is it to move and what do you do for work? - So it’s actually super easy! You need a copy of your passport, birth certificate (if you don’t have this you can go to your town hall or order one through the gov website) a proof of funds meaning you have $5000 in your account (roughly around £2700) then fill out the visa application pay $500 (this may have gone up) and wait for it to be accepted! This can take a while but mine was actually instant which was good!! Finding work is pretty simple, it’s just like here. My first job I worked for a company fitting roof racks, tents and other accessories to 4x4’s which was right up my street, but as its retail I could only work there for 6 months, so I headed to Japan on holiday, came back and started in a restaurant. I now work overlooking the water, see some pretty cool yachts and meet amazing people every single day!

5. Do I think I’ll ever come back? - The answer to that one is I just don’t know. I’ve not even been out there a year yet and I have so much still to see, but things happen and change so quickly that I honestly couldn’t give a definitive answer right now. 🫶🏼

As a kid I always loved Steve Irwin’s ‘The Crocodile Hunter Diaries’ and it was always my dream to come to Australia Zoo and even better WORK THERE.. well I’m still working on the ‘work there’ bit, however, I am lucky enough to live in walking distance from the zoo and I’m able to visit whenever I want. Some may say there are only so many times you can walk around the same zoo, but I spot something different on each and every visit and love every second of being there. Here are a few of my spots from todays visit 🥰
