Behind the scenes from some of my recent styling appointments. 👀
I’ve been busy this Spring updating wardrobes for my busy clients.
All my clients are different but they want the same solution from hiring me…
A wardrobe that is stylish and wearable and works together. An easy choice of outfits that makes life easier.
If you’ve got a lot going on in your life and a demanding job your wardrobe really needs to deliver.
I had a client tell me recently that she got asked to do a keynote speech at a really prestigious event. Her first thought wasn’t ‘what do I say?’ It was “WHAT DO I WEAR!” 😂😬
Obviously what you say in a speech is important but before you’ve even opened your mouth your clothes are speaking for you. 😐
Have a watch of this little video to peek behind the scenes and see how I set up the clothing selection for my clients at Harvey Nichols.

Hannah LOVES fashion! Especially jumpsuits and she confesses here just how many she has. When you know something works for you then why not stick to it!
We discuss how fashion brings you joy, how what you want to wear changes throughout your cycle and how neither of us would plan what we want to wear for every single day of the week on a Sunday night. Madness!

This week I was joined by two fellow stylists on my podcast "The Style Stories Podcast" to discuss the new work dress codes - what should you wear to work now?
Listen to a little teaser on the video below.
There is a new dress code in town the media call 'power casual' but isn't this just the same as 'smart casual?' You decide.
We also discussed Liz Truss before she resigned (adios) and various other style and fashion news and observations.

3. Oversized tweed blazer - BA&SH at Harvey Nichols
4. Knitted chunky cropped cardi - BA&SH
5. Tweed blazer - ISABEL MARANT etoile at Harvey Nic’s. Mango and & Other Stories have lovely cheaper versions.

This magic outfit formula has saved me more times than I can remember.
Thinking of your style and how you like to dress using 3 words is incredibly powerful, it will bring clarity to your style and you will dress more like YOU.
It's easy to get distracted by trends etc... and get frustrated with your wardrobe but until you work out what really works for you, it will always be tricky and distracting.
This easy outfit formula is super quick to do and will give you a lightbulb moment on your style that will last a lifetime!
Watch the video for more detail - it's under a minute long.
All you need to do is think of 3 words that describe your style. Mine would be relaxed, feminine, edgy.
In practical terms that means; I like dresses, florals, ruffles, metallics (feminine), I like to look undone rather than too 'done' (relaxed), I like to pair pretty dresses with chunky boots or a leather jacket (edgy).
When I put an outfit together I just think, "does this fit my 3 words?"
It's also useful to think how you DON'T want to dress. My words would be preppy, classic and formal. These words do not resonate with my personality, lifestyle or the way I love to dress.
I now look at people wearing Classic clothes and appreciate that they look nice but know it's not for me. This alone saves so much time and distraction.
Why is this important/useful? Like everything in life, the more you accept and understand yourself, the better life is all round. Your clothes are part of your identity.
How would you describe the way you like to dress? What are your 3 words? Tell me in the comments below. 👇
