The Karik was serviced, the Majik-I amplifier was traded in for the DSM/4, and the gorgeous Keilidh speakers were left just as they were.

In 2007 Linn introduced the revolutionary Klimax DS – the best sounding digital music hi-fi source available at the time. It was so successful that it ultimately led to the demise of the CD Player. Last year, the Next Generation Klimax DSM was launched, taking things a stage further with Linn’s Organik DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter).

We were ecstatic last week when we took delivery of the latest radical LP12 upgrades.
Retrofittable to every LP12 made since 1973, the Ekstatik Cartridge and the New Radikal power supply take turntable performance to the highest level ever.
The Ekstatik features a micro-ridge stylus and sapphire cantilever for improved responsiveness, whilst the honeycomb pattern cut into the top of the cartridge reduces weight without compromising rigidity.
The New Radikal improves on the 2009 original by virtue of its digital motor circuit, giving the most accurate speed control available on a turntable today. The motor itself has been redesigned to take into account improvements in material technology over the past 12 years, with smaller components made to tighter tolerances reducing mechanical noise to the lowest levels ever.
