Tamasin B and Dave Schwoo who previously hosted shows on Sunninghill Radio will be returning to form part of a brand new schedule from Saturday 7th September.
Tamasin B, who previously hosted shows 'Tracking Back' and 'Multitrack' will be taking on 'Tamasin's Saturday Lunch' from 12-2pm where she'll have two hours of great music and a little chat, the soundtrack for your Saturday lunch. She'll even be incorporating multi track - 30 minutes of music on a theme as well as You gotta love a cover and great music with a little cheese guaranteed
Jackson Sanders moves to become the host of a new show from 2-5pm which will see him include some great music, passable (and not so passable) humour, bits of deep seriousness and of course lots of utter waffle. Get ready to be part of the show too, as he'd love to hear from you about what you're up to, so it fills the time and means he doesn't need to prepare anything!
Following on from that, Matthew Down moves his 'Evening Party' to a new time of 5-7pm as it takes on a new 2 hour format. Expect all the big tunes he's known for to put you in a great mood for your Saturday night!
Plus, Matthew will be curating an all new playlist of songs from the musicals as 7-8pm becomes "Saturday Night at the Musicals", 60 minutes of his favourite songs from the musicals to provide the perfect Saturday soundtrack.
Finally, Dave Schwoo returns to what he does best, providing an eclectic mix of music from across the decades in a brand new show from 8-10pm.
This means we'll be saying goodbye to Kid H and Araan Sobhan who both leave the station this August.
Kid H says: "On August 31st, I will be broadcasting Timeless Tunes for the last time, four days before the show’s 3rd year anniversary. I am deeply grateful to anyone who has tuned in and I shall miss it lots. I will still be involved with the station, helping out with show covers and doing Mike Striker’s research for his show All About 80s. It has been a pleasure sharing my Timeless Tunes with you."
Araan says: "At the end of 2023, I made a decision that I only told a small handful of people about. The time has finally come for me to share it with all of you. That decision was that the upcoming year, 2024 would be my last on Sunninghill Radio. 2024 marks a monumental year in my personal life, especially as we approach the second half of it. Therefore, I just can't balance doing what I love on this station on top of everything else I've got going on and that means that I'll be stepping down from presenting this show and leaving the station altogether in a month's time. Some will say it's the end of an era, most will say it's the end of an ear-ache, either way, I've enjoyed every moment of the last 4 years. For now though, for me, it's time to say goodbye and we'll be doing just that during my last show on Saturday 3rd August".
