Here’s some backstage of our team covering, once again, the 2023 Red Sea Film Festival! 🎬

The Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF) is an event that celebrate diverse films and foster cultural connections. The theme this year was "YOUR STORY, YOUR FESTIVAL," symbolizing inclusivity and creativity during the ten-day event for global filmmakers and audiences. The visual concept, inspired by camera movement notes in storyboards, had emphasized "YOU" as the hero of the story, highlighting the festival's commitment to diverse narratives.

Our team provided photo and video coverage of several days of the event, following filmmakers, actors and much more!

Some of FACTSTORY’s team members were invited on 20 November to the opening of FAO and exhibition: « Follow the Journey of the Seeds » in Rome.

In celebration of the Tenth Session of the Governing Body, the exhibit features examples from Intl Treaty's Benefit-sharing Fund projects and showcases how people, such as farmers, breeders, scientists and policymakers leverage seeds to adapt to climate change and other challenges. 🌱

This exhibition was a celebration of the achievements of people working with plant genetic resources to halt biodiversity loss and for climate adaptation, sustainable agriculture, improved livelihoods and food and nutrition security.

The inauguration of the Printemps Christmas windows is an annual event in Paris, expected throughout the year. The most festive decorations adorned once again the store facades, this year's theme was paper. The animated display featured winged messengers bearing letters expressing the wishes of people all around the world! 💌

FACTSTORY followed this inauguration, alongside an exceptional guest whom we had the privilege of interviewing about her experience with the famous Christmas windows: Catherine Deneuve.

From the discovery of the windows to the details of these creations, the FACTSTORY team offered video coverage of this magical event in Paris!

📹 “Vasa, The Ghost Warship”, FACTSTORY’s new 2x52’ documentary will premiere on ARTE on the 2nd of December, at 8:50 pm.

The documentary tells, in 2x52 minutes, the story of the Vasa, the exact moments from its launch to its sinking, and the stories of those on the ship, through the use of animations and 3D reconstructions.

Among already known discoveries, the filming of “Vasa, The Ghost Warship”, revealed new findings for those who spent years studying and searching for this Sweden ship. Treasures like a twin-warship, and rare canvas from Vitré…

On the 26th of November, FACTSTORY; in association with SEPPIA, SVT and ARTE G.E.I.E; presented its newest documentary "Vasa, Le Galion Fantôme" at a first screening of the recently inaugurated Musée National de la Marine, in Paris.

Guests had the chance to watch the two episodes of this documentary and enjoy a discussion with the directors and production teams who worked on the project.

The 2x52’ mini-series is available from 25 November on arte.tv and broadcast on 2 December on Arte.

Dive into the work of the Spotlight Initiative!

🎥 Earlier this year, FACTSTORY produced a video for the Spotlight Initiative program, a United Nations initiative in partnership with the European Union and others; such as UNFPA, UN Women and much more; taking actions to end violence against women and girls all over the world.

To end violence against women and girls in Mali, Spotlight focused its actions on various topics, such as including the empowerment of girls to combat forced marriages, female circumcision, and enforce the professional reintegration of vulnerable women…

More than 1,500 community-based mechanisms have been created since 2020.
The organisation is working with governments, civil society organisations, the media and other partners to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls by 2030. 🔝

A few years back, we sent our FACTSTORY teams to cover the four day event of the squash CIB PSA Women’s World Championship in Egypt. The Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the global governing body responsible for the administration of both men’s and women’s professional squash around the world. In 2019, for the first time, this championship awarded more money than the PSA Men’s World Championship. This historic moment has been immortalised through various videos produced by FACTSTORY. 👟

FACTSTORY followed Esperanza Palmar's journey, as one of UNICEF’s « Frontline heroes ». 💉

In Colombia, in the region of LA Guajira, Esperanza has been travelling from village to village, to vaccinate children lacking access to medication.

UNICEF has taken action in training local health professionals to administer vaccinations and maintain the cold chain for vaccines during shipments. Those actions expanded the access to medicine to remote villages, in different areas.

This video highlights UNICEF's work and mission to expand the benefits of medicine across the world. 🩺

The Geneva International Motor Show is currently taking place in Doha, Qatar. Our teams were there to cover the event last week, with video and photo coverage. 📸

The GIMS is being held in Qatar for the first time, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, and several other prominent venues in the city and offers us the chance to discover the latest innovations and creations of the automotive industry. 🛞

With over 600,000 visitors every year, GIMS is a major event in the advancement of the automotive sector. It's an immersive experience for exhibitors and visitors, who can enjoy test drives, high-speed circuits, and automotive activities in the desert.

The EU 🇺🇦

« Medevac » for DG Echo is a documentary-style video, produced by FACTSTORY, that highlights the EU Civil Protection Mechanism's medical evacuations of Ukrainian patients in need of specialised care during Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

To capture the importance of these missions, a few months back, our dedicated crew followed a medevac plane and team departing from Oslo, Norway, and landing in Rzeszów, Poland, to show the medical hub’s operations and patient evacuations. 🏥

More than just informative, this video creates emotions such as empathy and solidarity for Ukrainian patients.

A few weeks back, our team embarked on another mission for the European Parliament: documenting the fight against climate change. 🎥

We met two dedicated individuals—Anu from Helsinki, Finland, and Carlos from the Canary Islands, Spain. While Anu is an activist, Carlos advocates for the climate.

Whether you are a sport enthusiast or not, you might have heard of the Championship in Budapest. 🇭🇺This major international event took place in August, from 19 to 27 and our team was there to shoot. Here is a glimpse of the backstage of the competition. 🏃‍♀️🏃

Founded in 1912, World Athletics is the global governing body of athletics. It oversees competitions, records, and promotes athletics for all. 🌍

Thus, by hosting World Atheltics, Hungary welcomed its biggest athletics event in its history, attracting more than 2000 athletes from over 200 countries for nine days in the brand new National Athletic Center.

In 2021, we highlighted UNFPA's work In Kenya, through a photo reportage.

Our local photographer followed the UNFPA team and immortalised their impact on women and children.

During the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan on May 22, 2017, we mobilised a team to capture the event. We offered a comprehensive look at these Islamic games bringing together 54 Muslim nations.

The photos were taken during the opening ceremony and during different events, like during the Men's 3000m Steeplechase or during the Men's Pole Vault.

We entered with two change-making campaigns and left with 3 lions.

Built around ’s vision to protect women in , we crafted campaign “Dirty Laundry” to challenge the cultural notion that r***d women are themselves “Dirty Laundry”. The result? Lawmakers’ commitment to increase the r**e crime sentence, a gold and a silver lion.

“The Currency of Corruption” campaign was created with to stand in the face of Lebanon’s corruption, earning widespread awareness and 1 bronze lion.

These lions aren’t just wins. They symbolize the power of creative ingenuity to impact meaningful change in society.

Thank you to everyone who offered their voice, their creativity, their talent, their time and their effort towards making these campaigns happen.

They interviewed children who shared their stories about discrimination, the lack of role models, dreams and how to rewrite history and build a region with more opportunities for all.

Breaking the cycle of exclusion and discrimination starts in classrooms across Latin America.

Did you know that FACTSTORY has been working with the European Commission since 2012?

Indeed, For more than ten years, we provide the European Commission (EC) with photo coverage of each of the Commissioners' (+HRVP and VP) trips, upon request from their cabinet. We provide photos to feed their communication platforms (mainly Twitter and Instagram) during official visits, summits (UN General Assembly, Davos Forum, etc.) and various meetings. We also provide stockshots (image banks) on various themes that can be linked to political news, or not.

In order to produce these photos, we contact photographers through our worldwide network, and then we then organise all the pre-production, including the brief and the organisation of transport and accommodation, if necessary. Last but not least, we take care of collecting the photos in real time to upload them to the Commission's audiovisual portal. The images are then available free of charge in high definition to anyone who wishes to use them.

Step into the world of culture and heritage at the National Museum of Qatar.

During the museum's inauguration in March 2019, our multimedia team captured the immersive experience through video and photos. With over 100 photos available on the AFP Forum platform, we offered a comprehensive look at this new addition to Doha's landscape. Celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Johnny Depp, and Victoria Beckham were present too.

Discover the incredible solidarity chain that has been put in place by the European Union following the Russian invasion. With the implementation of "solidarity" routes by train, boat, and truck, Ukraine is no longer isolated and can once again import and export raw materials. During our 7-day photo and video shoot in November and December 2022, we met with various Europeans who are part of this solidarity chain. From Ukrainian farmers to Polish border guards, sailors, and logisticians, we captured their stories and discovered the importance of this initiative.
