My best advice for couples who are interested in a couples’ photoshoot, whether it’s for a save date, an engagement, an anniversary, or just because they like each other (which is the best reason, by the way), is not to be afraid to show what’s special about your relationship rather than trying to recreate photos that you’ve seen on social media. We probably go to the same places you’ve seen there (if you want), and we may try to create some of those photos, but the extra spice that will make your photos different from the others is your connection, love, humor, and romanticism.
So, when you’re going to meet in Paris, don’t be afraid to open up in front of the camera 💗

I met Kim Jane, a while back when I took her during a street photography session. When I sent her the photos, I told her that I wish I could take some of them again. But due the nature of the situations, I didn’t want to impose myself more than I’ve already did. We decided to meet again and try to make our Parisian style shoot. We exchanged some visual references and my only condition was to avoid major landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. I think said it will take about an hour or so, but we ended up spending several hours, we shared our personal stories and as we were building up our mutual confidence and relationship within the boundaries of our temporary photographic universe. Mica
Kinshasa DRC // 2022
Last month I went to an exceptional documentary shooting in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which I will write about on the coming days.
Mica, is a Journalist from the city of Kolwezi. He turned out to be incredibly helpful and resourceful in this delicate mission. Every once in while when he saw me frustrated for not be able to film what I wanted because a police officer or a soldier would jump out of nowhere to question us and kick us away, he would tried to make me understand the different and complex reality of DRC.
The look in his eyes in this photo means so many different things for me, I encourage you to discover about Congo and wonder what he we was looking at.
Having my camera with me when I get around, gives me a good excuse to approach strangers on the street I do not know, explain to them why I think they look fabulous and ask them to pose for me as I take their pictures.
I am visually attracted to people who are not afraid to express their inner self, or as they say in French ‘L'être’ through styling, as it is a way to say who you are without having to speak

My last name, Hutmacher, literally means a hatter in German. So when I met and she told me she is a real hatter I knew that this session is going to be fun.
And sometimes bigger is... more impressive :)

When saw Caroline and Xavier I thought to myself that they have more style in the tip of their shoes that I have in all my wardrobe
This is one of those times that you cross paths randomly with amazing and kind people that reminds me that everything they say about Paris, really exits if you know where to look.
