Movie News: Red Tails

Release date (USA) - 20 Jan 2012

The story of the 'Tuskagee Airmen' (an all African-American fighter squadron in WW2) who achieved an outstanding combat record despite institutionalised racism in the U.S. military at the time.

Produced/co-written by George Lucas, effects by ILM.

I'm a bit nervous about this one. I'm a huge WW2 aviation and Star Wars fan (nerd). It could be the best thing since sliced saucisson or it could suck like Jar Jar Binks in a lead refrigerator!

Movie News: The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn | Les aventures de Tintin: Le secret de la licorne

Coming to cinemas in France on 26th October.

I am really looking forward to this! Produced by Peter Jackson, directed by Steven Spielberg, screenplay by Edgar Wright, music by John Williams (cast includes Simon Pegg and Nick Frost!). If this film lives up to it's pedigree, it should be fantastic!

Movie News: The Smurfs

53 years ago, Belgian artist Pierre “Peyo” Culliford dreamed up the idea of a village of mushroom-houses inhabited by The Smurfs (or Les Schtroumpfs in French) who foil the evil schemes of their enemy Gargamel and his cat Azrael.

A mix of live action and 3D featuring Hank Azaria (The Simpsons) and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother). The movie was released in France on 3rd August.

I haven't seen it yet, but if you have, feel free to post a short review!
