So true

The Narcissists have an, “I don’t care mentality”. Communicating your concerns, and offering suggestions will always be met with some form of manipulation. When they’re not raging and having a fit, they’re controlling their facial expression and reactions to further manipulate the situation. You’ll think they’re truly listening, accepting accountability and willing to do what’s right. However, both the cute puppy dog eyes and Mr. Hyde reactions are used to regain control. While you’re thinking you’ve touched their heart, or said something wrong, In their mind, they’re already thinking of ways to do exactly what you’re asking them NOT to do. If you’re asking them to step up and do more, they’re plotting how to do even less! Your words were dismissed the moment the conversation pointed out their poor behavior. They’re not going to tell you this because then you’ll make the decision to walk away. That is the last thing the Narcissists want because they know someone more deserving will eventually find you. Which means, their days of using you would be over with.

Narcissists are often unwilling to take responsibility for their actions, including lying, betraying, and hurting others. Instead of offering a genuine apology, they often resort to manipulation in order to shift the blame onto the other person. This behaviour can be both confusing and distressing for the individual who has been wronged.
One of the primary reasons why narcissists may refuse to apologise is their deep-seated need for control and power. Admitting fault would require them to relinquish some of this control, which is something they are often unwilling to do. As a result, they employ various tactics to avoid apologising, such as gaslighting, deflecting, and placing the blame on the victim.
Furthermore, narcissists are adept at manipulating their victims into questioning their own feelings and perceptions. They may downplay the severity of their actions or even deny that any wrongdoing occurred. By doing so, they create a sense of confusion and doubt in the victim, making it easier for them to manipulate the situation to their advantage.
It is important for individuals to recognise this pattern of behaviour and not allow themselves to be manipulated into apologising for the actions of the narcissist. Seeking support from trusted friends, family members, or mental health professionals can be crucial in maintaining a clear understanding of the situation and avoiding falling into the trap of manipulation. Ultimately, it is crucial to set boundaries and prioritise one's own emotional well-being when dealing with a narcissist who refuses to apologise.

Narcissists often exhibit an aversion towards celebrations, birthdays, holidays, and special days where they are not the centre of attention. This distinctive characteristic stems from their envy and deep-rooted need for constant validation and admiration from others. In their relentless pursuit of validation, they will go to great lengths to disrupt and undermine any occasion where they perceive the attention being diverted away from themselves.
This behaviour accentuates their inherent envy of others, their self-centeredness and their constant craving for recognition. Narcissists are driven by an insatiable desire to be the focal point of any social gathering or special event, as it feeds their fragile self-esteem. When they are unable to monopolise the attention, their deep-seated feelings of envy, insecurity and insignificance become amplified.
Their tactics to ruin these occasions can vary, ranging from overt acts of defiance and attention-seeking behaviours to subtler means of sowing discord or emotional manipulation. They may engage in attention-seeking outbursts, create unnecessary conflicts, or act sullen and withdrawn to draw attention back to themselves. Their ultimate aim is to disrupt the joy and unity that these occasions represent, ensuring that they remain the central figure.
It is important to recognise and understand this aspect of narcissistic behaviour, as it sheds light on the underlying insecurities and emotional vulnerabilities that drive these individuals. When encountering such disruptive behaviour, it is crucial to remain resilient and focused on the true spirit of the occasion, rising above the narcissist's attempts to undermine the celebration.

Narcissistic parents sabotage their kids by pathologizing their emotions, neglecting their needs, alienating their relationships, and more.

Narcissists and their flying monkeys (allies) think they have a right to abuse you, treat you badly and hurt you, but they also think you have no right to stand up for yourself. To them, you have no right to self defense.
No matter how bad and false their gossip and rumors, no matter how sarcastic and rude they are, they think you have no right to point out that they are this way. When you do, they will call you crazy, a drama queen, or even abusive, just because you stand up for yourself.
So, remember, there is no way to convince either the narcissist or the flying monkeys to stop the smear campaign because they will never, ever accept responsibility for what they do, nor do they think it's wrong. That's why "going gray rock" with them is the best move...give them the same emotional response as a gray rock....nothing.

It’s so much better for everyone involved to live in harmony and peace than for children to be constantly exposed to abuse. Even if they are not the ones being abused, seeing the abuse is abusive too. By leaving you are teaching your children not to put up with abuse.
