ASHNITA’S BHATWAAN NIGHT

Our team almost felt like family at Ashnita’s place in Tavua this was our second time working with them our first experience was with covering Ashna’s wedding the eldest sister in 2015, and coming back almost 8 years back still felt the same the beautiful smiles, the cozy feeling of home as if time had no effect on this place.

Day two also known as Bhatwaan a very festive day for the bride’s family as it is the last day of celebration at their home simultaneously the groom’s family also has bhatwaan celebrations at their residence. The mandap throughout the wedding festivities is a sacred area dedicated for the wedding ceremony and is decorated on this day as well. The bride and groom are rubbed with turmeric paste.

Our first day with the spontaneous and ever flamboyant bride Ashnita had us setup base in Tavua the backdrop to a luscious mountainous terrain and miles and miles of farms gave us a beautiful rural setup our bride now a doctor started her life in this beautiful setup.
