Lovely news at the start of the new year. ArtMinute 1 – The perfect selfie is a quarter-finalist at Vancouver Independent Film Festival and has been elected for Indie Short Awards Cannes.

Another Festival selection for Artminute, we are very produ of the many selections we have recieved. Thank you to SOHO International Filmfestival, from the team, Zentropa, Artmusum Brandts and Die Asta.

The story is about the Danish painter Jens Juel, who through his extensive travels and from the old master, Rembrandt, gains unique inspiration and finds his own voice as a painter.

“Creatures of the Insectforest” tours Funen in 2021-2022. In the multimedia experience, “Creatures of the Insectforest” you can change bodies and experience the world, as a bird, a dog or an insect. As another creature, you explore the gigantic landart work “The Insectforest” by artist Alfio Bonanno. The experience is made of 3 VR films and a 6 * 2 meter hypnotic filminstallation. Music by electronic guru, Gunner Møller Pedersen. The partners behind the groundbreaking VR/ Multiscreen experience, that premiered a year ago at Johannes Larsen museum, now sends the project touring on Funen, thanks to funding from the culture region. Its premiers at the “Light in the Darkness”
festival, the 5-6th of November at Skovsgaard Manor, Langeland. At a cite-specific workshop, dedicated to families, audience can also experience meeting nature through artistic workprocesses, film, VR and a bit of witchery. You can join the workshop from 13.00-16.00 (book in advance) or visit the mesmerising VR and film installation experience from 16.30-23.00, at the manor. This includes the possibility of a stroll around the illustrious moad or enjoying hot drinks around the fire braziers that light up the manor on this special night.
The project has been created by a cross-diciplinary team, consisting of artist Alfio Bonnano, arthistorian and curator Christian Kortegaard, Lead by director/ producer Asta Wellejus and supported by Cultureregion Funen, by Stine Eskesen Keiding.
The VR and Film installation is created by Die Asta Experience in collaboration with Ane Skak, Immersive Stories, supported by Øernes Kunstfond and Cultureregion Funen. The event at Langeland is supported by Langeland municipality and EU.

We have just gotten news, that we have received a generous funding, to a new project, involving the combination of art/nature
and sustainable thinking as a vehicle to make cultural and ecological change for families.
We look forward to work again with Alfio Bonanno, Christian Kortegaard and Ane Skak, among others.

Around this time two years ago, we launched the first Artminute film (we being the team, Zentropa, Die Asta & Artmuseum Brandts). Since then it has been on close to 20 festivals and have had several prizes and nominations. We now have two festivals left, and are very happy to count down to RIFF where it will compete in a weeks time.

A new project by Die Asta Experience & Peter Aalbæk, Zentropa is now in development. After the very succesful collaboration on Artminute, animation experiences for museums, we now venture out to create a documenary tv series for youth, the theme will have to be a secret a while longer.
