Redevelopment of Jianguomen Old Market in Xi'an, China by LANDHOO
Through the project, the positioning and investment have been redefined, and a new business format has become popular with young people, including trendy restaurants, dessert and flower shops, handmade creative products, bars, and photography.
During the day, it is a familiar old market for local residents, with crowds of people buying and selling goods, matchmaking, and filled with the atmosphere of the bustling city. At night, it takes on a completely different look, as young people gather here, and music and drinks awaken the entire area around the city wall, becoming a new landmark for young people in Xi'an.

Guantang international Expo village, Chengdu, China by LANDHOO
Enjoying a regional advantage of Western China International Expo City, this project positions itself as an international expo village. Based on the Linpan style of western Sichuan, the project showcases the traditional residential style and records the life in Linpan. Additionally, it constitutes an essential part of the comprehensive plan of the Western China International Expo village, performing functions such as organizing expos and receptions. In the new context of a park-styled city, traditional Linpan has carried forward its ancient essence into modern times and taken on a new look after renovation.

Ecological Restoration of Guangyang Island EPC Project by China Architecture Design and Research Group (CADG).
Guangyang Island is the largest Island in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. In accordance with the humanistic realm of "integration of knowledge and practice, great skill without work", Guangyang Island ecological restoration project focuses on scenery, integrates mature sets of low-cost technologies, products, materials and engineering methods in the ecological field, implements ecological facilities and green buildings. The key indicators of each subsystem of the life community are coupled in the high-value ecological interval, so as to seek the overall optimal value point of the life community. Today, the island has undergone butterfly changes, restored its natural environment, improved the function of serving the residents, and has become a demonstration place for green development along the Yangtze River.

Beijing-Zhangjiakou (JingZhang) Railway Park Master Plan by China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG).
Constructed in 1909 and renovated in 2019, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou (JingZhang) Railway has linked the two cities for over 100 years. During the Beijing Olympics, it was revitalized and served people from all over the world. The historic railway site has been transformed into a park, offering a kaleidoscope of experiences available to all people.
Planners and designers faced the challenge of preserving the historical context while stimulating city development along the railway. To address this, the design group proposed the "Three Threads" concept, where each thread focuses on solving a specific issue and supports other ideas to create a powerful network. By implementing the "Three Threads," the project aims to revitalize the surrounding regions, break down barriers, and introduce sci-tech to people's lives.
The project promotes public transit, accessibility, community engagement, static preservation, and innovative programming. The JingZhang Railway Park will blend the site's historic monuments with contemporary urban elements, presenting a new model for transforming public spaces in the capital city.

Project Overview:
The Starry Sky Sponge Park is located in Lingang New City, Shanghai, China, adjacent to the Shanghai Astronomy Museum. With an area of 54.47 hectares, it is the largest sponge park in Shanghai. The park's design integrates nature, city, architecture, and human elements into a unified system, creating a unique theme park that showcases landscapes, sponge technology, and science and technology buildings.
Design Concept:
The park's design is based on the theme of the starry sky, with sponge technology as the core and artistic terrain as the main feature. The vast starry sky is integrated into the site to form four functional areas: the leisure stargazing area, the wetland science popularization area, the rhythmic planet area, and the astronomical experience area. The park's design achieves the goal of "creating landscapes that rise from the flat ground, with the sponge building the scenery" through a double demonstration of landscape and sponge technology.

The 12th China(Nanning) International Garden Expo by China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG)+Atelier DYJG+Nanning Gujin Landscape Planning & Design Institute Co., LTD.
The 12th China (Nanning) International Garden Expo has become a popular destination for the public since it opened. The core idea was to restore the ecological functions of forgotten hills, waters, rock mines, fish ponds, and other features, and transform the space into an inspiring place based on traditional Chinese gardens.
Designers successfully tackled problems related to elevation complexity and coordination between multiple disciplines while preserving the original landscape.
They were also inspired by the dynamic culture of Guangxi's minority groups to create a park with educational and ecological functions. Each spot carries memories of multiple generations, with children enjoying the space as their playground, cranes soaring to the tip of the clouds, and bamboo swaying in the wind, casting shadows on the reflecting lake.
Together, these scenic moments frame a harmonious picture of architecture and landscape that showcases ecological functions and cultural highlights. The project has brought many opportunities to neighboring villages, making it a good example of how contemporary cities can improve their ecological environments by hosting garden expos.

The designers resort to modern design ideas to try to create an idyllic and symbolic landscape for the residents. And after collecting and filtering by the LID system in the community, rainwater is reused in the wetland gardens, brooks, and artificial falls.

Ye Xian Ta Urban Forest Park is located in Miyun District, Beijing, with a construction area of 45.8 hectares. Landscape Enhancement of the Construction Design for the Characteristic Cultural Blocks in Nantou Ancient Town(Phase I) , Shenzhen, China by L&A Design Group.

As the precious heritage of Lingnan historic culture, Nantou Ancient City in Shenzhen has a history of nearly 1700 years. However, it was a great challenge to renovate this site for its complicated population and spatial structure, outdated infrastructure, difficulties of cultural relic protection, and lack of public space.
In the process of urban renewal, design emphasis was laid on creating aesthetic and sustainable ecosphere, preserving the native plants with site memory. For the urban village, designers transformed and re-utilized the physical space rather than demolish them entirely, including revitalizing the original buildings, improving drainage, electrical facilities and other infrastructure. The design makes the South Square and the Main Street into a flexible space, and introduces a mode to active creative culture industry. Thus, the agglomeration of newly formed business benefits the site culturally, economically. Under the symbiosis of multiple elements, Nantou Ancient City achieves sustainable development in environment, society and economy, and explores a new model of urban renewal.

The 19th courtyard by China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG).
The 19th courtyard is a complex community with residence, office and commercial. For a long time, this courtyard has suffered from chaotic traffic, confined spaces, low environmental quality, which caused people’s relationships to become worse. Therefore, the urge to renovate this area is needed. For the special of this project, the designers are not only the repairers but also the users. Adopting a multi-party&co-construction approach, this project was used ecology, health and friendliness as the core method to restore the environment and create a vibrant new life. After the renovation, the community environment has been greatly improved and the warmth began to return. This is a project that connected green innovation, friendship and health together.

CIFI Residence of Metropolis Mansion, Hangzhou, China by DDON.
The residence of Metropolis Mansion is located in the central area of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Zone. Based on the traditional Chinese philosophy that man is an integral part of nature, and also to reflect the confidence and vitality of this brand new area, more transitional space between interior and exterior are introduced into the garden, and sheltered corridor connected main entrance, community outdoor living room, reading pavilion and children’s playground.
Plants and pavements were designed carefully also, which gives the appearance of modern and exquisite living atmosphere, as well as gorgeous scenes from ancient Chinese wisdom.

Landscape Design Of Agile Demonstration Area,China by UP+S

The Agile Binheyajun is located at the southwest gateway of the North Island of China-Singapore Eco-city in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, with an area of about 26,000 square meters. The design uses a variety of new plants and special paving materials to collect rainwater from the site, creating an artificial lake of about 1,000 square meters. Adhering to the design concept of harmony between nature and man, Tao and nature, the elements of mountains, hills, caves, rivers, tidal flats and oceans are integrated into the spatial nodes through landscape techniques, making the diverse life scene and the natural activity interweaves together, and creating a livable, energetic, charming community.

Landscape Design of Puda Sunshine International Holiday Resort, Panzhihua City ,China by GVL Design Group.

Puda Lake Park, with a site area of 20 hectares, is located in the Puda Sunshine International Healthy Community, Panzhihua City, which aims to be the core image of the community in the future. Panzhihua is located at 26°north latitude with unique landscape experiences for spiritual healing, outdoor fitness, nature escape and continuous mountains. Although the site is situated in a valley with beautiful mountains offering spectacular and wide-sighted landscape, native plants have been destroyed, accompanied by serious soil erosion problem, so the ecological environment has become sensitive and fragile.
The project encompassed all phases of design from large scale landscape planning to construction. During the initial landscape planning, the design team used GIS and on-ground analysis to map landscape patterns and resources to best optimize the natural characteristics and improve ecological health on a large scale. This larger analysis further informed the detailed design of the park, allowing the integration of traditional elements and culture with a robust and scientific landscape planning approach.

Landscape Design of Xishanyue Music Farm, Beijing, China by L&A Design Group.

Xishanyue Music Farm is located on the east bank of Baihe River in Miyun District, Beijing. The special attributes of local wetland and forestry land make the site a rare wooded mountain oasis.
The design was carried out on the basis of respect for the original site. According to the project positioning of a holiday and leisure farm, it become a multi-functional place to hold events such as music performances, children’s recreational activities, tent camps, bonfire carnival, etc. The design also borrowed the surrounding mountains and forests to blur space boundaries, creating a low-density cozy mountain home, as well as a boundless farm landscape.

Wetland Park in Qinling National Botanical Garden by UP+S

The site is located in the Qinling National Botanical Garden northern protection zone reserve, east of the Tianyuhe Plain and north of the Qinling Mountains. The site covers an area of 60.45 hectares. The project aims to establish an elastic sponge type wetland reserve park, and reconstruct the water system in the Tianyuhe wetland. Furthermore, maximize the use of existing farmland irrigation water by collecting and storing surface runoff and scientifically plan the plant system to build a new wetland system.

Chizhou City Moat Heritage Park, Chizhou, Anhui by UP+S
Chizhou Moat Ruins Park is located in high-density development area of the old region, the site is about 3.5ha, and surrounding water is 4.7ha. In the renovation, a method for treating both sponge city and polluted river is comprehensively used to transform an “urban enclave” into a constructed wetland park with daily natural features, and the original polluted and malodorous water body into a water-engaging open space with a stable water quality of Class IV all the year round. The management and control mode of "Source + Midway + Terminal" has been adopted to make an overall arrangement of ground and underground space. After renovation and modification, the park has become an accessible waterfront activity space, effectively increasing the regional vitality and upgrading the environment quality, and providing a venue for ecological education in the urban area.

Ecological restoration of Yanqing competition area of the 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games by China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG).
The Yanqing competition area of the 2022 Winter and Winter Paralympic Games is located in Xiaohaituo Mountain, Yanqing District, Beijing. The core ecological restoration land of the Yanqing competition area is about 204 hectares. The construction and design of the Winter Olympics implements the guiding spirit of "Green Olympics, Shared Olympics, Open Olympics, and Clean Olympics", and combines with Chinese cultural characteristics, reflecting Chinese elements, local characteristics, and protecting Ecological environment and cultural relics, inheriting and developing the traditional Chinese planning concepts and architectural elements, so that modern architecture and natural landscape, history and culture complement could be integrated naturally. Designers minimize the disturbance to the mountain forest environment, and build a Winter Olympics area hidden in the natural mountains and forests, which present a World-class and Chinese-characteristics modern mountain forest venue group.

Linpan Cultural Manor in Anren, Sichuan, China by Chengdu JZFZ Architectural Design Co.,
Anren Linpan Manor Project is located in the "Chinese Museum Town" in the southwest of Chengdu -Anren. The project is adjacent to Liu's Manor and Anhui Li commercial district.
The site presents typical forest texture in western Sichuan, and the fields, forests, water and houses are in perfect contrast. The natural landscape is very attractive.
As an important part of the first batch of national characteristic towns, this project is a historic mission to practice the national new urbanization strategy, realize rural revitalization, and complete the restoration and protection of the forest pan in western Sichuan. Based on forest resources, the design deeply explores bamboo culture and farming culture, and proposes a new landscape model that integrates ecological protection and cultural inheritance. By protecting and optimizing existing natural resources, triggering new functions of forests, establishing a new forest traffic system, and shaping the new image of Anren Forest, creating the country's first bamboo culture immersive experience forest manor, forming agricultural wetland ecological parks, bamboo rhymes, the five theme area of Wild Fun theme Park, Cultural and Creative Art Theme Zone, Cultural Tourism Resort core, and Hidden World Pastoral Community shows the scene of "Tianfu Lin Pan · Zhu Yun Yuan Xiang".

Landscape Renovation Design of the South Wetland Park on Plot D3 , Wuhan, China by L&A Design Group.
As a unique type of park, urban wetland park is different from urban park with recreational functions or nature reserves with pure protection. Its renovation and governance have become a subject of scale control.
In the face of Wuhan Overseas Chinese Town Wetland Park Project, L&A Design Team identified the restoration of the ecosystem and the re-gathering of popularity after -19 Epidemic as the key to the design. It put the restoration and protection of the site base in the first place, focusing on restoring the water ecosystem, and establishing an ecologically sustainable water purification system. It also used color elements to activate the atmosphere of the park, increased experiential and interactive installations, as well as the educational science displays, which can not only emphasize the overall image of the park, but also give the park a modern, bright, ecological and natural sense of space.

UP+S Rain Garden by UP+S

UP+S Rain Garden is located in the 768 Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, in Haidian District, Beijing. It is the entrance garden of UP+S company. During the design process, the team deeply research on cost, maintenance and environmental strategies to create a low-impact, low-maintenance, low-carbon landscape. During the construction, we keep earthwork balance, and use landscape treatment to make plants and materials become the key role of the garden. Based on the design concept "control source, delay impact", we build a suitable rainwater storage space, also an artistic "Rain bank", to realize the management of rainwater resources.

Xinxing Zen Cultural Tourism Town, Guangdong, China by GVL Design Group.
Based on Chinese Zen Culture, Xinxing Zen Cultural Tourism Town is designed to appeal to local and international visitors to experience traditional Chinese Zen ideologies. Modern construction techniques and # principles are employed, creating a modern tourism town of Zen style.
The design boasts four Zen characteristics. The first is based on local culture and natural resources. The second, is the creation of the immersive experiences in which tourists can feel the art and lifestyle of Zen. Third, in addition to the well-equipped facilities that meet various demands of cultural tourism, it attaches great importance to upgrading cultural experience and promoting Zen culture. Lastly, the project further explores the root of local Zen Culture and shapes the unique identity of the local township.
