He is the visionary founder of The Eco Speed Turtle, were he champions environmental sustainability by galvanizing young minds towards impactful action.

Ebong’s love and passion for social change extends through his roles as a coach and aspiring entrepreneur. His initiatives in community, personal, and career development are designed to inspire innovation among the youth, propelling them to excel.

His expertise has enriched numerous organizations, where he’s excelled in pivotal roles such as Project Manager and Social Media Manager.

Ebong's experiences have involved working as a key leader at a student association, a community engagement officer, and a volunteer for NGOs.

He played a vital role in coordinating and engaging young people in projects that promote environmental sustainability and community development.

In his previous role as a community engagement officer at SOA Cameroon, he developed partnerships with local stakeholders, facilitated workshops and training sessions for community members on topics related to sustainable development, and coordinated community engagement initiatives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and social development.

He also coordinated a project titled Youth For Blue Ecosystem with SOA that engaged almost 80 youths.

He has decided to enroll at the Peace Academy to learn and acquire the relevant knowledge and skills on peace building to enhance his active participation and contribution to shape conversations around governance and development to foster sustainable community social cohesion for inclusive growth and progress in his community and beyond.

Last week, I had the distinct honor of participating in the Exponential Youth Summit, an annual gathering of innovative young entrepreneurs. This year’s experience was particularly remarkable for me as I was entrusted with the opportunity to address the attendees on the importance of social impact and the pivotal role of youth engagement in social impact activities. The convener of the summit, Abongdoh Titus, who recently received the prestigious Commonwealth Secretary-General’s Innovation for Sustainable Development award from H.E. Dr. William Ruto, President of Kenya, invited me to share my insights.

The summit’s influence was profound, catalyzing a transformative shift in mindset among the young participants. It served as a crucible for unlocking their potential in leadership and entrepreneurial pursuits. We were fortunate to have an array of eloquent speakers, including Bonteh Engelbert, Bochum Samuel Bache, Alain Numfor (TL), Adam Bradford, Zulfawu Nobre Tahiru, and Nzometiah Nervis with exceptional Emcees such as Fonki each contributing to an enriching conversations and learning experience.

The impact resonated deeply as attendees departed with newfound inspiration and strategies to forge impactful pathways in their communities and beyond. It was a testament to the power of collective wisdom.

Have you ever felt like you're stuck in a rut, unable to move forward or achieve your goals? Have you ever doubted your ability to succeed and fulfill all your dreams? The truth is, the amount of time we spend believing we can't is more than enough to learn how we can.

The time you spend doubting your abilities is precious time lost. Instead of succumbing to self-defeating thoughts, embrace the possibility of growth. Invest your time in learning, striving, and discovering how you can accomplish what you once thought was impossible.

That thing you have been thinking of is not impossible, you just have to go through a process to get there. Understand that Fear arises from a lack of adequate knowledge and information. Instead, seek to understand the knowledge and information needed to thrive.

Don't give up on your dreams. Keep fighting. Keep learning and developing. There's Light at the end.

Before making any sensitive decisions, it’s crucial to carefully consider the implications and potential consequences. It can be challenging when you possess passion, skills, talent, and gifts but are not reaping the desired rewards from them. If your passion, skill, talent, or gift isn’t translating into financial stability or providing for your basic needs then, prioritize securing a source of income that can sustain you while you work towards nurturing your passions.

Some of you have jobs already that pay you though not up to what you want, even if there is so much responsibility on you, you can't leave that job to pursue your passion when you have no other source of income, and you know your passion won't pay you now.

I know you have big plans. I know your dreams are big. I know that is not where you saw yourself. I know you don't get enough money from there. But that is all you have for the moment, don't throw it away. Have a plan with your current income, bring the half bread together, that's a full bread.

Many people today ended up being frustrated, because they made this kind of decision without considering some crucial things.

💡 Before leaving your current job or source of income to pursue your passion or skill, it is important to ask yourself these questions:

✅Assess whether your passion, skill, or talent require resource and whether you have sufficient resources to support it, without compromising your financial stability. Ensure that pursuing your passions won’t lead to financial strain or instability.

✅Evaluate whether your passion is currently able to provide for your basic needs. If it isn’t sustaining you financially, it may be necessary to focus on a stable income source at least until your passion can adequately support you.

Making the decision to leave a job that provides some level of financial security in pursuit of your passion requires careful consideration. You can be following your dreams while maintaining financial stability.

We must learn to strike a balance between pursuing your passions and ensuring that you have the means to support yourself. Take calculated steps and be mindful of your financial situation.

Trust within a team promotes accountability, reliability and productivity.

While teamwork involves individuals working together towards a common goal, the defining factor that elevates a group to a cohesive and high-performing team is the presence of mutual trust among its members.

Most of the time, we find ourselves struggling with things that we were not meant to struggle with. The attempt to figure it all out on our own is the cause of delayed results. We can all achieve our respective goals if a system of trust is allowed to exist within us.
