Medak incident update : A mob in Medak gathered in front of a Madarsa, demanding that 20 oxen be moved to a Gaushala. Mohd Arif called the police, and officials led by DSP Rajeshwar informed the mob that the veterinary department would be asked to check if the animals were fit for slaughter. DSP Rajeshwar instructed Mohd Arif and others to bring their documents to the Medak Town Police Station. While Arif and others were waiting at the station, they were suddenly attacked by the mob. The police shifted Arif to a hospital, but the mob later reached the hospital and attacked again. The same mob also pelted stones at other properties and vehicles. Extra forces have been deployed, situation is tense but in control. AIMIM leaders also spoke to police officials and asked them to restore normalcy and arrest the culprits immediately.
