No more Share Now (Car2Go) in or anywhere else in North America.

The company says it has decided to exit the North American market and cease operations in London, Brussels and Florence, effective February 29, 2020.

In a written statement, the company calls the business landscape "extremely complicated" in these markets.

They say a rapidly evolving competitive mobility landscape and the lack of necessary infrastructure to support new technology are issues, along with rising operating costs.

The Zipper Truck on the Alex Fraser is up & running!

According to project estimates, people can expect to save about 12 to 16 minutes during the afternoon rush hour in the southbound direction and about 6 minutes during the morning rush hour in the northbound direction.

The speed was however lowered from 90 km/h to 70 km/h because lanes were reduced in width from approximately 3.7 meters to 3.55 meters.

Only two weeks left to take in the big show under the big top. Cultural sensation Cirque Du Soleil will wrap its Vancouver performance of Luzia on December 29th. The show has been running in the city since October 3rd.

One man has been sent to hospital following a shooting at Oppenheimer Park in Vancouver. BC Emergency Health Services confirms his injuries are serious but not life threatening.

Vancouver Police say they got the call after 5pm and closed a large area until about 8:30pm while they searched for the shooter.

Just over half of BCers approve of his performance, a slight increase from 48% in June.

Meanwhile, the Greens’ Weaver scored 38%, Wilkinson from the BC Liberals scored 35%, and the BC Conservatives’ Bolin gets a 20% approval rating.

For both Wilkinson and Bolin, though, these numbers represent increases from the previous poll in June – an 8-point increase for Wilkinson and 6 points for Bolin.
