Okay okay! Excited to announce the first year of our mini DIY music festival 🌻TINY FEST 🌻 A super groovy day & evening is upon is and we're lucky enough to have these lovely artists & humans bless us with performances:

We’ve been keeping busy over here working on tons of exciting new projects, ads, shows, films and more that we can't wait to share! Over the last view months we've been workshopping our logo, branding, website, etc. as things were feeling stale! We've kept our OG black and white colour scheme for some time now, and thought it was finally time to finally introduce a new colour into the mix. Let us know how you like it 🙂

Unison is launching a new Health and Well-being in Canadian Music survey. The survey aims to assess the Canadian music industry’s mental health and wellness to better inform us of the needs facing our community. We’re looking for perspectives from all areas of the industry. If your job is technical, creative, behind-the-scenes or in front of a microphone or camera, we want to hear from you, so we can provide you with exactly what you need for a sustainable, and healthy career.

With these survey results, Unison will be carefully curating the "Unison Wellness Studio" which will cover the major pillars of wellness through a series of workshops with free resources and tools delivered to you virtually. Exactly one year ago we threw our first annual Xmas Party ❄ NOËL ❄ at the beloved Superfly in Parkdale, Toronto. Was REALLY hoping we could do it again this year but we're hopeful we’ll be able to make it happen again next year. Big Love to everyone that came out and to Adult Film School for capturing it all. Beyond excited to welcome one of our favourite artists to the familia & sync roster - Toronto's rock n' roll moon fairy, dreamy art pop princess - the wonderful and amazing Luna Li!

Listening to Luna Li is the moment you hang suspended between dream and a haziness, or when you’re dancing through a slight tipsiness. You feel beautiful, confident, happy. This is Luna Li and she’s here to help you love.
“Whenever I'm writing, I like to be the only one in the house so that I can focus all my energy into the music,” she says. “When there's other people around, my energy gets dispersed or is not completely focused.”
This oracular skill of Luna Li’s has brightened Toronto’s uniform rock landscape. When Luna Li first emerged onto the Toronto indie scene, she quickly realized the gender and racial disparity. "Noticing that no one on the stage looks like you can make you feel invisible. When I first saw bands playing that had women or Asian people in them, I was immediately drawn to them as well as a little emotional, because I felt seen. This feeling was a big part of my start.”

Luna Li’s is currently working on new music, set for release in 2020. “The themes are definitely a little bit more vulnerable,” she says. And it’s not locked down by the confines of any one genre, either. She’s allowed herself to pull from her classical background and training, she says. “With the new music, we did a lot of orchestral arrangements, a lot of violin, a lot of harp, a lot of vocal harmonies.” There’s a lot of exploration — within herself and with regards to technique — going on with Luna Li’s new work. Ultimately, it’s about playing by her own rules and no one else’s.

If Luna Li’s music is anything, it is unafraid. And being as magical as it is, this should be no surprise. In commune with the universe, Luna Li is an oracle of our times.
