It was an honour to host this amazing training program. We look forward to the day when the trainees return on a professional production.

Congratulations to all the trainees who recently completed Vancouver Island North Film Commission & North Island College's Micro-Credential Motion Picture Skills Training Program.

We were proud to support the participation of trainees. The training started with an online component and was completed with an in-person Production Assistant Bootcamp, also sponsored by REEL CANADA. Participants were able to learn more about different set departments, such as set construction, set dress, grips and lighting.

We would like to thank the Martini Film Studios in Langley in BC, for hosting the in-person training, as well as all those who made this months-long training a success. Special thanks to Vancouver Island North Film Commission for shepherding this initiative!

Félicitations à tous les apprentis qui ont récemment terminé le microprogramme de formation aux compétences cinématographiques de Vancouver Island North Film Commission et North Island College.

Notre équipe est fière d’avoir pu soutenir la participation d’apprentis. La formation a débuté avec une composante en ligne et s’est terminée par un camp d'entraînement en personne pour assistant de production, aussi commandité par REEL CANADA. Les participants ont pu en apprendre davantage sur les différents départements d’un plateau de tournage, tels que celui de la construction et de l’habillage des décors, de la machinerie et de l'éclairage.

Nous tenons à remercier le Martini Film Studios à Langley, en Colombie-Britannique, pour avoir accueilli la formation en personne, ainsi que tous ceux qui ont fait de cette formation de plusieurs mois un succès. "The Motion Picture Community Initiative (MPCI) with generous support from Martini Film Studios and the Township of Langley Film Office invite you to a free outdoor screening of Paramount Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Join us at Walnut Grove Community Park at 5:30pm on Saturday, September 24th for pictures on the red carpet and free popcorn, then test your knowledge of filming in the Township with a game of trivia!

Be sure to stop by the MPCI tent for a chance to win Cineplex movie tickets.
