🥳📣🎬 I'm excited to announce the world premiere screening of my friend Bobo Whitehall (Whitehall Entertainment)'s latest documentary: Beyond the Podium: Celebrating Canadian Women Champions!

The screening takes place at the beautiful Westdale Theatre on Friday, August 16th at 7pm.

This not to be missed documentary has already won two film festival awards and provides indepth interviews with 15 of Canada's top women winter Olympian athletes.

Brenda delves deep with her doc, discussing the challenges and triumphs these women have had and exploring topics such as racism, body image, safe sport, and mental health.

There is a Hamilton connection as two of the segments were filmed at Stewart Memorial Church and Dundurn Castle. I was happy to be involved in those segments as a photographer.

Hope to see you out on August 16th! Buy your tickets soon before the evening is sold out!

Fabulous that the police came out in full force to ticket and arrest some of those participating in the anti-mask rally in Toronto today. The hilarious part is that the protesters were shocked to see the cops there. I guess they don't know we are under stay at home orders and only 5 people can gather outside! "Why are there so many cops?" 😂🤣😂🤣 One of the organizers Kelly Anne Wolfe has been arrested. There is also mention of another rally taking place in Hamilton tomorrow (Sunday) at noon.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hamilton Arts Council (HAC) presents the Hamilton Artist Relief Fund and Online Performance Series.

HAC understands that the outbreak of COVID-19 presents extraordinary challenges for artists and arts organizations in Hamilton, with an unprecedented loss of revenue from performances, community events, education and professional presentations.

The Hamilton Artist Relief Fund is focused on raising and distributing emergency relief funds for artists struggling during this difficult time and providing a curated online platform for local artists to present and perform to a virtual audience. 100% of the donations collected for the Relief Fund will be distributed directly to artists in need.
