Co-creating this short film with the wonderful people of during their last sugaring season was very meaningful for me. Their sugar maple forest was a magical place to be in, and the maple syrup they made was so delicious and nourishing. Thank you for the unforgettable experience, and I hope this sugaring season is flowing well for you 🍁 🧡

🍻 There’s a new beer in town. Had a great time working on this video with my new friends out in Uxbridge! 🎥 Filming those horses running in the field was such a thrill. Got to meet some amazing people and beautiful animals.

It was an honour to photograph Ian Williams’ induction into the Brampton Arts Walk of Fame. Congratulations ⭐️! This event introduced me to your writing, and I have been pulled right in to your magnificent poetry. You truly have a gift with words.

Hats off to the amazing interview skills of ‘s literary powerhouse , the great work of the culture team , and of course, the crew, who all made possible this beautiful celebration of Ian’s talents and contributions. You created an unforgettable evening for all who attended.

My mom’s specialty dish — bacalhau — on her birthday ❤️. Made with all the love. While we made this, we watched some videos of making it together with her, so that’s about as close as we could get to making it with her again. Our little videos of her coached us through the steps whenever we weren’t sure what to do next. Hoping that we did it justice. Into the oven it goes and I’m sure our family will let us know if the salt and pimenta levels were adequate. Remembering my mom on the day she was born into this world and went on to do so many amazing things in her life , always WITH LOVE ❤️❤️❤️

💙 💛 💚 A trifecta of warblers who didn’t mind getting their photo taken by yours truly. It’s amazing who you will see if you just listen and look around—>> In order of appearance: black-throated green warbler, yellow-rumped warbler (you wouldn’t think they’re called that, but they are), and a good old-fashioned yellow warbler.

BIG congratulations to Charolette for getting accepted into McMaster’s cardiac surgery residency program! I am so honoured to have been able to capture a portrait of this absolutely outstanding human and soon-to-be cardiac surgeon. I’m flooded with happiness about this news. Matching into this type of residency program is incredibly difficult and competitive. But I have to say, when I met Charlotte to take her photos for her applications, I just had this feeling that she was going to get to wherever she wanted to go. The community is lucky to have you! ❤️

3 years ago, my photo of poet / artist Rupi Kaur was printed in the Globe & Mail — a featured image to accompany Tajja Isen’s written portrait of a very special evening. I’ve been reflecting on this special moment. I was lucky enough to be tasked with capturing some images of Rupi Kaur’s beautiful performance at The Rose Brampton, which was followed by a special ceremony where she was inducted into the City’s Arts Walk of Fame. This woman is a force. It’s no wonder she’s an international sensation. She read from her books milk and honey, and the sun and her flowers — deepening the words with her voice, pulling us in closer with her swaying hand movements and poetic timing, gently wrapping us all together in shared experiences of womanhood and love and heartbreak and resilience. What a beautiful and memorable evening. Thank you to the amazing staff at , and to the phenomenal for including my images in the print and online versions of her G&M article.

Spent the morning watching these little superhero jet fighters. They seem to have their own action movie going on, fighting for their territory and nest sites.

The fastest animal in the world lives right in our neighbourhood. Today this gorgeous Peregrine Falcon landed on a lamp post on our street right as me and stepped outside to go for a walk. All the small birds went nuts alarm calling - can you blame them for being nervous? The falcon perched there, cool af, scanning our street, and giving me plenty of time to run inside and grab my camera. Lucky me!

This Peregrine seemed larger than ones I’ve previously seen, so I’m guessing it was a female. Can any local birders in Hamilton’s peregrine watch program ID the individual? Would love to know if it’s one of the Sheraton birds!

I love these two! And I love capturing photos of duos who have racked up many anniversaries. As a couple, they are - still so in love after decades together, and going strong! During a super quick impromptu photoshoot, it was effortless to capture a glimpse of their love for each other because it is so genuine. They are also some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. More than neighbours, they have become like family to Steph and I. From the day we met them almost 6 years ago, they have always been there for us. Always willing to help us with any household conundrum, share delicious cookies/biscuits, and give us great advice. Chuck and Regina, you are made of golden hearts 💛 💛
