Four years ago the wrestling landscape in Alberta changed forever. The buzz around the show, the hype of the crowd throughout, and the amazing matches put on, I don’t think this even will ever be recreated on this scale ever again.

Thank you to everyone who attended tonight’s AEW WrestleDream show at The Pint Whyte Ave. You all seemed to have a lot of fun, and it was an amazing show. Special shoutout to the staff and the Pint for taking us in after some interesting circumstances.

As this is our last AEW Watch Party for 2023, we would like to thank Beercade for all their support over the last 5 years, in not only hosting these event, but previously allowing us to run live remotes from there as well. It’s hard in these economic times to find businesses and people who remain loyal to you. Big thank you to Bernard Norrin Radd and Beercade for their support for both myself and Backbreaker Media.

This Friday at MPW: Reckoning Day Wrath will defend his MPW Heavyweight Championship against Blake Kannon one more time! Not only that, but MPW Management has decided to make this match a LUMBERJACK MATCH!

With the lumberjacks at ringside to nullify his new alliance with Steve Wilde, can Blake Kannon find a way to dethrone Wrath and become the new MPW Heavyweight Champion? Or will Wrath make an example out of Blake and continue his dominant reign?

Announcement

Backbreaker Media is announcing this week that as of July 1, 2022, we will not be adding new content on Backbreaker Podcasts for the foreseeable future. This move is to allocate resources (both monetary and physically) towards our other channels, Backbreaker Video and Backbreaker Gaming.

We would like to thank all the contributors throughout our 11 years of having a podcast. Without the tireless help of its volunteers, the podcast network would not have been as much of a success as it is. From its beginnings with Andre C, Brian Hamilton and the Front Row Mafia, to guest contributors like Chris Perish and Meniac, to our current hosts Papa Smokes, Bobby Munson, Kyle Shaw, and Big Bad Boris, we would like to wish them all the successes in all of their future activities, and encourage you to check them out wherever their future activities take them.

And to the fans of the podcasts, thank you. This podcast was set up in 2011 to promote Western Canadian Wrestling, and without you people listening to the shows we provide, none of this success would have been possible.

This decision will be re-evaluated in the future. If you wish to relive any previous interviews or shows, they will remain on all podcast platforms, as well as the main site, backbreakermedia.Podbean.com.
