Tip#6: Get Your Groove On
This pandemic will eventually be over, and you will need to put on a swimsuit again! Working from home lacks the formal routine and the visual cues of reminding us to stay active. Sitting for hours on end is bad for your body. Exercise will help clear your mind and recharge you throughout the day. Ideas to get some physical activity into your workday:
-“Commute” to work – Go out for a 15-minute walk before and after work, no different than if you were actually going into the office.
-Schedule exercise – put it in your calendar and commit! Stretch during your coffee break, get on your treadmill during lunch, pace while you are on teleconferences, climb up and down your stairs 5 times before allowing for a snack.
-Use online apps for accessible and convenient workouts and reminders to stay fit and inspired.
-Keep it fun – Find things that make you laugh, Zumba, 80’s aerobics, get a friend or co-worker to exercise “together”.
