It’s another one. Sauce is back with another Sunday Brunch. This time we are two-stepping. This is a Juneteenth Black Music Reclamation Celebration Day Party and BBQ. June 9th from 3 pm - 9 pm we will be celebrating the rich history of Black Music by honour the sounds that have shaped generations.

Come join us for a day of good food, good drinks and our line-up of Djs , .tv and spinning Soca, Dancehall, Afrobeats, RNB and everything in between.

This will be a real country hoedown so dress code is country/cowboy style so come with your cowboy boots and cowboy hats and enjoy some great bbq and great music.

Sauce will be participating in the Entrepreneurship panel discussion, where we will discuss the ups and downs, mentorship, the behind the screens people don’t see, and much more. Spring is here and you know what that means. Mother’s Day is finally here. Come celebrate your moms, adopted moms, aunts and grandmothers as they are the pillars of our families. May 12th we are opening early just for our moms. Starting at 3 pm we have a special menu which features 2 staters to choose from, a spring mix salad and collaloo soup. 5 mains to choose from, baked salmon in a herb citrus sauce, seared jerk chicken breast, braised beef shank, and a 5 layer vegetarian lasagna. And of course we need to end off with something sweet, so we have one popular cassava pone and a new dessert a mango mousse.

We Brunchin Sunday April 14th, from 1-8 pm. PINKNIC is all about brunch, cotton candy, popcorn, cocktails, bottles and the djs bringing the vibes.

Get either the Caribbean Breakfast meal with all the traditional Caribbean favourites or the Chicken and Waffles meal. Nothing says brunch more than Chicken and Waffles. PINKNIC wouldn’t be complete without pink cotton candy and popcorn.

Did someone say Fish Fry. Well you know what that means Easter is Here. Come join us for Sauce’s 2nd Annual Good Friday Fish Fry, March 29th from 2-8:30 pm. We are back with all the traditional Fish Fry favourites like; red snapper both whole and steak and cod fish. This year we are trying something new, Bake and Swordfish. Come and try it out. We also added some hot cross buns. Easter isn’t without some freshly made buns from the oven. We open at 2 pm so we will be closed for lunch that day. What’s New “In the Sauce”.

Introducing the Sauce Burger. Juicy beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a slaw. You can’t have a Sauce dish without a signature Sauce, so we have a creamy, tangy and spicy in-house sauce as the final touch. All that yumminess on an in-house baked bun.

We would like to thank everyone that nominated Sauce’s Lindeal’s Roti Platter for the Top 100 Dishes list for 2024. It’s such an honour to have made the list. The Lindeal’s Roti Platter is one of our staple dishes at Sauce, it was the first dishes to be put on our menu when we were creating it. It’s a dish in honour of our Aunty Linda who most knew as Lindeal. She was known in the city for her Roti which was showcased at Cariwest, Heritage Days, Black History Month Events, St Vincent and the Grenadines Banquets, and much more occasions. So for it to be the dish Edmonton patrons have grown to love on our menu makes this honour much more special. It’s so gratifying to hear so many people say they don’t like pumpkin but when they try our curried pumpkin they are instantly in love with it. Being part of Feed the Soul Dining week where we featured our Lindeal’s Roti Platter we were able to showcase and expose so many people to the wonderful curry flavours in our dish. Thank you for providing that platform.

Feed the Soul Dining Week is Back and Better for a 2nd Year and Sauce is excited to participating again. The 2nd ANNUAL FEED THE SOUL DINING WEEK will be running from February 2 to 11.

FEED THE SOUL Dining Week will feature bold, new, flavour-packed traditional and modern-fusion offerings at 13 Black-owned restaurants, food retailers and makers across the City. It’s your chance to explore flavours from Senegal, East Africa, Italy, Jamaica, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Nigeria, Trinidad, St Vincent and the Grenadines and more during the 2nd annual Feed the Soul Dining Week.

New in 2024 are the daily “Ten Dolla Deal” featuring $10 dishes and off-menu offerings, in addition to multi-course/dish prix fixe menu with prices ranging from $20-$45 per person.

Sauce has put together a prix menu made up of some of Sauce’s most popular dishes. For just $45 you get our famous Jerk Chicken Sauce Tacos, our most popular main dish, Lindeal’s Roti Platter - Curry Chicken and of course you can’t have a meal without a drink so we have our staple cocktail Caribbean Sunset. Don’t worry if you are not an alcohol drinker we have the mocktail version of the Caribbean Sunset.

Curry is a staple in Caribbean Cuisine. Curry in the Caribbean dates back to the early 19th century when Indians who were brought to the region through the system of indentured servitude. Even though the Indian’s brought Curry to the Caribbean, Caribbean Curry is different due to the influences of African, Spanish, Dutch, English, and French in Caribbean cuisine.

With February being Black History Month, where we acknowledge, celebrate and honour the history, we want to celebrate and showcase “Curry”.
