The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Food Agriculture Organization and the European Union, is organizing the Bhutan Agri-food Trade and Investment Forum (BATIF) 2024 from May 15 to 19 in Thimphu.
The main purpose of the Forum is to bring together Bhutanese and foreign investors, traders, business enterprises, entrepreneurs, exporters, financial institutions, etc to explore possibilities of partnership in Bhutanese agri-food trade and investment.
The Forum will include key note speakers, presentations, panel discussions, business to business matchmaking (B2B), networking sessions, exhibitions, food fair and recipe contest, all designed to meet the objectives of the Forum. While the business session will be held at Pemako, the exhibition, food fair and recipe contest will be held at the Centenary Park.
About 60 international participants representing international agencies and private companies have registered. On the Bhutanese side, about 74 participants representing 66 Bhutanese companies have registered.
